The secret of happiness

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

I’m Lin Fengyi from Yinglin middle school. It’s my honor to stand here and give you the short speech. The topic for my presentation is “the secret of happiness”.

In our lives, we can always hear the word of “happiness”, but what is happiness? Winning a game is happiness; Getting a high grade in an exam is happiness; Even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also happiness. However, the secret of happiness lies in how you choose to react to the seeming uncontrollable

problems. Happiness is the most precious thing in the world, which can be obtained in different ways.

There are a lot of people who is full of energy and you can see the sweet smile on their faces everyday. You will have question here. Why are these guys happy all the time?

Let me tell you the answer: they know the secret ways to happiness.

Firstly, we know all the people must face a lot of pressure everyday; people know the secret have their own way to reduce their pressure and solve the problems. In front of the pressure, they choose to turn it into poetry instead of profanity. They have their own plan of everything such as a timetable including the time for working, for enjoying their life with wife, with husband and kids, for shopping and so on.

Secondly, they know what to cherish in their lives, and take advantage of everything they have now, they choose to do well what they can do now, and they race the clock.

Thirdly and the most significant things of all is to be happy. Putting on a happy face and thinking interesting things are helpful to trigger happy feelings.

Time flies! Three years of middle school life is quite short .Only once can we live! Why can’t we realize it now so that we can make full use of every minute? Why don’t we focus on our studies and involve ourselves in the school life ?If we don’t want to leave any regret , let’s get down to some solid work from this moment .Let’s start right now and let’s work together for our bright future and for our own happiness !

Thank you!

第二篇:演讲稿《What is happiness》

What is happiness?

Good morning. Ladies and gentleman, it’s a great pleasure for me to stand here to present my speech——what is happiness. What is happiness?Different individual have various understanding of it. In other words, everybody has his or her own criterion of happiness,if you reach the criterion, you are happiness. There is no doubt that other people's happiness may no be the happiness you want and on the contrary your happiness perhaps can't be accepted by others. To sum up, happiness is like a private article, it is you who could realize the present in it.

If you must give a definition of happiness, in my opinion, there are two kinds of it. One is that you have the perfect life and family, the other is you can do what you like best. It is obvious that lots of people prefer to possess the former kind of happiness, but in the movie "the pursuit of happiness”, the character had the later kind of happiness He was brought up in a single family and not until 28 years old did he know his father, so that he set up his mind to keep his son under his protection. It is his dream to be a investment expert, however, his wife left him owing to poverty, and then he couldn't afford the rent so he led a vagrant life in the city.

What’s more, he had to run as quickly as possible only to get the chance into the asylum. Too much "had to" finally made him achieve his goal, the moment he knew the news, his eyes were full of tears.

So friends, which kind of happiness do you have? Thank you!
