Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It is a great honor for me to be given these opportunities to deliver a speech. The subject of my presentation is change the unchangeable. One of my mottoes is “Change your thinking, change your life!” I’m a big believer that our thoughts and emotions shape our experiences. The problem is that most people aren’t aware of their negative thoughts. It’s almost like they have just become a habit, so it seems normal to them.

You think that you are a victim. In fact, you’re not a victim. So stop blaming other people or your circumstances for your problems, just because you don’t like where you are now doesn’t mean that you can’t take personal responsibility to change it for the better. So get rid of that mentality because it doesn’t help anything. Actually, it acts as an obstacle to success. Realize that you, and only you, are responsible for your destiny.

Some things you can change. In fact, a lot of things you can change. You can lose weight. You can find a better job. You can go back to school. You can study hard. You can and you must change the unchangeable. You can’t believe that the past determines your future. Just because you came from a poor family, or made mistakes in the past does not mean that you can’t make your future better. If you have labeled yourself as a “failure” because of your past, then you will only continue your “failure” attitude into the future. And if you’re heard of the self-fulfilling prophecy

phenomenon, then you know that what you think, you become. So like I said in the opening paragraph: “Change your thinking, change your life!”

In a word, you just make great effort; keep the right attitude, and believe that everything is possible if you try to do it. Change the unchangeable; your life will be better.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am very pleased to be at this meeting and exchange views with you. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the situation of climate change and make some advice on the tackling of climate change. International society should strengthen dialogue and cooperation on climate change.

In recent decades, climate change is becoming an increasingly serious problem of the whole world, especially the global warming. Global warming is an increase in the earth’s temperature due to fuels, industry, and the destruction of forest. This results in an increased emission of greenhouse gases. Short-wave solar radiation sinks into the Earth’s atmosphere and warms its surface, while long-wave infrared radiation emitted by earth’s surface is absorbed and then re-emitted by trace gases.

The arctic region is a bone-chilling,uninviting place to live for people.For polar bears,it is perfect or it was. The bear,s icy home is melting.Some scientists estimate that much of the arctic will be ice-free in summer by the year 2100.Global warming is not just happening in the Arctic,the whole world,s climate is changing.Global warming also leads to the rise of sea levels.Chinese coastal regions would gradually disappear with rising sea levels. Global warming increases the possibility and intensity of extreme weather such as hurricanes and snowstorms.Hurricanes and typhoons have become stronger and longer-lasting over the past 30 years.

Climate change occurs naturally,but now people are ceasing it or at least speeding it up.The earth’s temperature is rising at an accelerating rate.Scientists believe that our use of fossil fuels ceases global warming.

In the past,,animals could adapt to gradual climate change by modifying behavior.Today,environmental pressures from growing human population,along with the faster rate of climate change,make survival for many animals a big challenge.This gives rise to the decrease of biological diversity.

It is imperative for us to take effective measures to crack this hard nut. First and foremost, governments should pour more investment into the research and development of new energy in a bid to make the earth more comfortable for us to live in. Furthermore, relevant laws and regulations should be made to postpone climate change.Last but not the least,a world-wide education campaign should be launched to cultivate people,s environmental protection sense. Only by doing so can we surmount this difficulty.
