My Dream of Future China
Ladies and Gentleman,
Good afternoon! My name is……. I come from……, my major is ……. I’m very glad to stand here to make a speech about my dream of future China.
Our president Xi Jinping came up with the dream of the Chinese nation's rejuvenation on December 29, 2012. He said: the China dream is a dream of national strength prosperity and people's happiness. Our people have an ardent love for life. They wish to have better education, more stable jobs, more income, greater social security, better medical and health care, improved housing conditions and better environment, they want their children to grow well, have ideal jobs and a more enjoyable life. This is our mission. As far as I am concerned, dream is an expectation which people want to pursue a better life. Everyone has a dream, and a dream means a goal, a power to lead and force you to go forward at full speed. There has a very famous motto which is recorded on the tomb stone stands by the Westminster Abbey side, it said: When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world
would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country. But it, too, seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it. And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world. The journey of a thousand miles starts with one step, the China dream represents the dream of every Chinese and the future of china also represents the future of every Chinese. If we want to chase our china dream, we must start from ourselves. The children study hard to learn more knowledge, the workers work efficiently to produce more products, the farmers work industriously to get a fair harvest, the businessmen trading with honest and fair to turn out to the satisfaction of both parties.
That is to say, only in a reasonable, prosperous and healthy atmosphere can we hope to witness the ideal scene in which the China dream will be came true.
That’s all thank you!

Innovation
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It’s great to be here. First of all, thanks for your coming. Tonight, what I am gonna talk about is innovation. Who can tell me what is innovation? We all know that, since 1978, China has been through the greatest changes brought by the reform and opening-up. So what we can see from the reform and opening-up? The power of innovation. That’s why I am here. I am here to show you my Chinese dream. I want to talk about the future and how we're going to win it.
If we want to make innovation. But firstly, we should make sure that China is a place where we can make it if we try, where we can go as far as hard work and big dreams will take us. We understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. We are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together.
Innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity. Sparking the imagination and creativity of our people, unleashing new discoveries -- that's what China will do better than any other country on Earth. From the moment we have a new idea, we can explore it; we can develop it with a research grant; we can protect it with a patent; we can market it with a loan to start a new business. We’ve got a chain that takes a great idea all the way through. We must be confirmed that, today, the challenges we face are real. They are serious
and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But we will somehow find a way to overcome the difficulties.
My major is XXX. My job is to discover or create new drugs for many diseases like cancer. You know that laboratory is the place where miracles happen. Believe it or not. What I do can save millions of people’s lives. For a long time, what challenges me is how to commercialize research. You come up with a great idea, but moving that new discovery from theory to practice or from the lab to the marketplace, that's really a big job. That’s what we should focus on. We need to act with a sense of urgency-to study and work and create as if the fate of the country depends on us-because it does. It depends on us. Thank you!
