技巧一、突出重点，避免喧宾夺主

　　PS主要还是以自己的研究经历和学术目标这些为主，这些经历可以表现表现出学生的动手能力，学习研究能力，这些也是教授们想看到的。有些学生会不停的强调自己在学生会当主席的时候做了些什么，如何的优秀，这些不是不能在PS中提，而是要少提，因为这些经历不能证明你的专业知识水平，教授首先考虑的是你的学术能力，其次可能才会去看这个学生在其他方面的经历和体现的能力。

　　比如有的学生在PS中写了很多对申请有用的学术经历，研究经历，在最后的时候也用了几句话来说自己大学期间还参加了一些课外的活动，那么这样的话反而让读者觉得这个学生不仅学习能力很强，同时还有这性格开朗，善于与人沟通合作的一面。

　　技巧二、不要求“全”，但要有“亮”

　　没有人是完美的，在我们的大学四年，总有忽略了的地方，有些同学的学习成绩很好，但实习经历不够多，也不够亮，有些同学的动手能力很突出，参加了很多的实习和研究项目，但GPA不算很高。面对自己的这些优势和劣势，要有一个正确的认识和分析，学习成绩好，那就多花一点篇幅来突出自己的学习能力，让教授从中看到自己的学习潜力，实践操作经历多，那么就要多花点字数来说说自己在这些经历中的收获，以及谈谈通过这些经历得到的对专业的理解。

　　技巧三、避免记流水账

　　申请英国研究生留学，一般都在PS里花上几段的长度来写自己在大学期间的研究经历，这是必须的也是很重要的，但写的时候要有则重点，不能一味的描述和叙述，本科生在本科期间的经历，对于看这些PS的教授来说都是小菜一碟的事情，所以他们不需要清清楚楚的知道的做这个事情的过程，而是你在这个经历中你的收获，你的成功与失败，这些经历又是如何促使你产生自己新的学术目标的，又是如何影响你的职业方向的。
