Impressions of Robinson Crusoe

I read 《Robinson Crusoe》 recently, deeply moved by the story of the master Von Robinson. This novel was written by Daniel Defoe. It is one of the most popular adventure novels in all literatures. I think this book is a really excellent adventuresome novel!

Before I opened the《Robinson Crusoe》, I have thought carefully for a moment. I've begun to consider what a great person Robinson will be! After he suffered shipwreck drifted to the island, instead of complaining, he made full use of their own minds and hands, to build houses, plant crops, animal breeding, tool making, and in despair helpless with his tenacity and perseverance and hunger, disease, fight, rescued finally victory. He conquered countless and unimaginable hardships. If I were him, I absolutely couldn’t solve and face so many dangers; I would lose confidence for life and feel despair. So I respect Robinson very much, he is my hero that I admire very much.

In such a long time, he not only to overcome the loneliness and solitude, but also against hunger and disease, try to let the sea robbers not find him. He is always optimistic so that he can survive, cherish every opportunity, in the face of difficulties, he was afraid, but he always tried to conquer himself and create the hope of life. I admired his courage very much. He is a man of fortitude.

Reading this book, I have strong feelings that a person must have a kind of perseverance, how can a person live on that deserted island twenty-eight years ? I think this is because he always had a firm belief, so he can overcome the difficulties one by one to create a miracle. I can not help thinking of our own in our life, for learning, is it right? Should we also learn from him? Just like Robinson, if we believe in ourselves, never give up and do our best, we must be successful! There is no perfect life in the world, but we can change our fate to make it perfect, and the most important thing is “Never give up”! Living life, it is important not to enjoy pleasure, but to endure the pain. Adversity is a stepping stone of success, of course, it is only for those who dare to claim to overcome the difficulties. In difficulties, we may have confused, have fear, have complained , but we should be able to use our strong willpower to withstand theses hardships.

Today we are in life, learning difficulties and compared to Robinson. We must get rid of our bad habits, like him, brave struggle with difficulties. Friend, have you read this book? Robinson Crusoe was partly based on the actual deeds of Alexander Selkirk, an 18th-century Scottish sailor who spent almost five years alone on a desert island. This novel is famous for its lovely details and its expression of belief in man’s ability when left alone in Nature.

The story was perhaps influenced by , a castaway who lived for four years on the Pacific island called "Más a Tierra" (in 1966 its name was changed to ), . (Selkirk was marooned(陷入孤立无援困境的) in the island of Juan Fernandez(费尔南德斯） off the coast of Chile.)

The details of Crusoe's island were probably based on the island of , since that island lies a short distance north of the Venezuelan（委内瑞拉） coast near the mouth of the 奥利诺可河river, in sight of .
