Time flies, three weeks has passed. Little by little, I begin feeling free in the new learning surroundings. I believe my pleasant mood must be from everyday

communication with professors, host family members and my classmates. Moreover, as a principal, I willingly admit that I should interact more with the public. This

thought comes into my mind not only from my recent experience but from the course of Communication for Learning.

Teachers as producers and disseminators of knowledge have strong spiritual needs such as respect, the right to information and the right to choose. If I cannot satisfy these needs, even disregard or ignore their deserved rights, teacher’s working enthusiasm will be inevitably dampened. In fact, teachers are looking forward to

opportunities to talk with principal. The greatest opportunity for mutual understanding and mutual benefits occurs in two-way, face-to-face exchanges because interactants are able to transmit messages and seek clarifications both through their words and through their expressions. (Kowalski, Peterson & Fusarelli, 2007).

With the understanding of the two-way communication’s significance, I plan to make a change when I’m back to my school. I will set up Democratic Forum, which is a good way to carry out two-way communication. In this forum, administrators and teachers exchange relevant information in a timely manner. The symposium varies in size, both large-scale symposiums organized by the teachers unions and small-scale seminars a few people participate in. The key purpose is to create democratic,

affective and congenial atmosphere and let teachers open hearts to speak their mind.

Employees look forward to opportunities to talk with principal. 每一位校长应更多的培养与教师的交流沟通意识。

教师作为精神产品的生产者和传播者,有着强烈的精神需求,关注自身精神需求的满足程度。作为领导者的校长如果不能及时发现,甚至漠视或无视教师的这些诉求,必然会极大地挫伤教师工作的积极性。青年教师会特别珍视自己的工作前途,有强烈的“发展需要”;中年教师渴望多出成果,丰富自己的教学生涯,有很强的“成就需要”;老年教师期望通过踏踏实实地努力,干好工作,做出成绩,满足自己的“尊重需要”。

Teacher as a producer and disseminator of knowledge has strong spiritual needs. If I cannot satisfy these needs, even disregard or ignore teacher’s demands, teacher’s working enthusiasm will be inevitably dampened.

Young teachers particularly valued their own job prospects, a strong development needs; eager middle-aged teachers and more achievements, enrich their teaching

career, there is a strong need for achievement "; elderly teachers expect to get down to efforts do a good job to make achievements, and satisfy their esteem needs.

二、交流沟通的形式

1、民主座谈会。民主座谈会是管理者与被管理者开展双向交流及时沟通相关信息的较好途径之一。座谈会的规模可大可小,不拘泥于形式。既可通过教代会、工会、妇代会等组织较大规模的座谈会,也可召集只有几个人参加的小型座谈会。民主座谈,关键是创设民主、亲情、和谐的融洽气氛,要让座谈者能畅所欲言,敞开心怀吐露心声。

2、校长接待日。设立校长接待日,决不是做表面文章,设与不设,效果大相径庭。设立了校长接待日,让教师感觉到有了自己的“说事”时间。平时,校长可能与学校中层领导接触比较多,但与普通教师接触的机会就少。所以,有必要在繁忙的工作中预留这么一段时间能坐下来与教师倾心交流,这也为校长打开了一扇了解民情民意倾听下层呼声的窗口。

3、校长信箱。这里主要指设立电子信箱,利用强大的网络功能能更好地密切校长与教师的联系。利用网络,可以不拘时间、地点展开交流沟通,这种交流是双向的,更具私密性,而且没有了面对面时的拘谨、尴尬,能暂时抛开上下级之间本能的心理设防,从而更为方便地反映情况,表达诉求。随着网络的普及,这必将成为密切校长与教师联系的重要渠道。

4、间接交流。间接交流是指校长通过与教师的家人、亲朋好友、同事等的接触,从而达到密切校长与教师联系的目的。间接交流意在将学校对教师工作业绩的肯定、对教师的关心通过另一种途径以多样的形式表达出来。例如,教师在工作上有了成绩,可以通过向教师家中寄送喜报、或者逢年过节时赠送春联、邮寄贺卡或若教师家中遇到困难时帮助解决等形式,让教师能实实在在地感觉到学校对他的关心和重视。间接交流能够调动一切有利于教学的因素,让教师在顺心顺意的环境中,没有后顾之忧的愉快工作。

作为校长,要为每一位教师创造成功机会,从时间、物力上加以支持,在制定奖惩制度时,要兼顾各方面利益,要让每一位教师感到有用武之地,有发展空间。这样,就会出现上下齐心、共谋发展的局面,学校的管理工作也会找到抓手,做到有的放矢。

只有多交流、多沟通,才能在管理者与被管理者之间搭建起平等对话的平台。大家共同想学校所想,急事业所急,我们的事业才会日新月异、蒸蒸日上。沟通出和谐,沟通出智慧,沟通出奇迹。因此,每一位校长都应重视与教师的沟通与交流。
