特点一:从试卷结构来看,四个模块分布均衡,均占25%左右,符合学考标准的要求;

特点二:从题肢看,20xx年7月学考试卷四选三的组合式的选择题比例增加,分值增加为3分1题;另外,选项的句式结构是非常对称的,让人感觉出题者用词遣句的凝练;

特点三:在试题选材上,关注人类、重视民生、贴近生活;

特点四:从考点来看,对知识点的考查,坚持“覆盖面广,主干突出”的原则;特点五:试卷非常注重对基础知识的考查,同时也注重能力立意,尤其是比较分析鉴别的能力;而且会从微观、宏观等不同角度考查学生对知识点的深度、广度的理解;

Parents all struggle to get children to understand that money doesn’t grow on trees, wanting them to be responsible, work hard and learn to save a few bucks. But these lessons are among the most difficult to teach.

Enter KidZania, an internationally praised and truly unique children’s theme park, which makes life a little easier for parents. KidZania is not a traditional theme park in almost any sense of the world---there are no roller coasters or merry–go-rounds in sight. There are, however, plenty of attractions and activities that will keep children busy, active, engaged and excited all day.

What makes it so much fun is that it is a kid-sized city---complete with restaurants, banks, grocery stores and hospitals---where the kids get to be adults, doing the things most of us do on any normal day. They start by picking one of nearly 100 “careers” and learning about it. Then, they put on their uniform and are ready to work and earn KidZania dollars (Kidzos). Most activities are universal but some are localized to reflect distinct flavors ad personality of the country and region where the park is located and to keep it real for the kids. Kids get paid for every job they do, which helps them explore the mysteries of managing money. Kidzos in hand, they can spend it or save it. If they run short of money, they’ll have to find a way to earn some.

Each KIdZania city is planned in amazing detail, even including real world brands that help sponsor the city and keep it running. I was a little cautious of all the popular corporate logos, but the brands weren’t pushed at all. They are there to reinforce(加强) the “real city” feeling by mixing it with things kids recognize.

KidNania employs senior citizens who give the park a homey feel and help put children at ease. Management also employs the disabled, whether blind, deaf or wheel-bound. Besides making for a more realistic city, this teaches children about those with different abilities and gives them an opportunity to spend time with people they might otherwise have stared at or treated

less than kindly.

Socialization is an important part of KidZania, just as it is throughout childhood. The KidZania experience inspiration to be great global citizens. And it’s part of what makes KidZania such an amazing place for families and children.

41. KidZania is unique in that _____.

A. it has no entertainment facilities.

B. it includes lots of localized activities

C. it offers kids chances to learn through working

D. it employs many seniors and disabled people

42. What does the author think of it when the real world brands are included in KidZania?

A. He doesn’t think it proper to have them in the park.

B. He thinks it helpful for running the park.

C. He thinks kids can learn nothing without them.

D. He thinks it may have a bad effect on kids.

43. Children’s theme park KidZania is set up to _____.

A. prepare them to be good citizens in the future

B. provide them with a place to have a good time

C. make them aware of their parents’ hardship

D. assist them in building a good relationship with parents

44. The word “empower” in the last paragraph is closet in meaning to _____.

A. control B. enable C. impress D. promise

45. Which of the following might be the best title of the passage?

A. Children do part-time jobs at theme park.

B. A theme park pushes kids to be grown-ups.

C. KidZania theme park makes children’s life easier.

D. Kids get to “be” adults at KidZania theme park.

Below is a selection of 6 scientists who did research.

Isaac Newton stuck a needle in his eye. Though best known for discovering the laws of gravitation, Newton did pioneering research in optics(光学). He experimented with prism(棱镜), but that didn’t reveal much about the eye’s structure or how it senses color. To learn more, the unusual physicist took a type of needle known with a sharp tip and , he wrote, “put it between my eye and the bone as near to the backside of my eye as I could.”

Nicolae Minovici hanged himself. Nicolae Minovici performed a series of experiments in which he allowed himself to be choked by ropes. Though his feet reportedly never left the ground, he experienced a burning pain in his neck and signaled to be lowered. He had trouble swallowing for an entire month.

Franz Reichelt tested his parachute(降落伞) by jumping from the Eiffel Tower. On Feb 4, 1912, an Austrian-born tailor named Franz Reichelt tested his “parachute suit”---an airman’s suit designed to function as a parachute in the event of an emergency. Alas, the chute failed to open up, which contributed to his death. The event was recorded in still photos as well as in the grainy video below.

Werner Forssmann stuck a plastic tube in his own heart. In the early part of the last century, it was believed that inserting something into a beating heart would be deadly. Werner Forssmann thought otherwise. So one day in 1929, he put a tube into his heart. Fortunately, he survived the daring experiment but lost his job. But his fearlessness was rewarded when he won a Nobel Prize in 1956.

Frederick Hoelzel ate glass. And not just glass. During the 1920s and 1930s, University of Chicago researcher Frederick Hoelzel reportedly swallowed grain glass, ball bearings, thread, wire, and other non-food items in order to show how long it would take the items to pass through his guts(肠子). Despite his risky research, Hoelzel lived into an old age.

Barry Marshall drank bacteria-loaded soup. For many years doctors had only an unclear idea about the cause of stomach illness. So he decided to be his own pig, taking germs(细菌) from an infected patient, mixing them in a solution, and drinking it. A few days later, after experiencing a period of throwing up and tiredness, he examined his own gut--- and proved the link between the germs and illness. For his daring experiment he won a Nobel Prize in 2005.

46. Which of the following scientist’s research certainly was recorded by video?

A. Newton B. Minovici C. Hoelzel D. Reichelt

47. Why did Werner Forssmann and Barry Marshall win the Nobel Prize?

A. The two scientists were expert in surgery operations.

B. Both discovered the links between germs and disease.

C. They made significant breakthroughs in medical research.

D. Each of them conducted the same experiment separately.

48. Which of the following statement about the scientists is TRUE?

A. The laws of gravitation is Newton’s only important discovery.

B. Minovici’s experiments made it impossible for him to swallow.

C. Hoelzel died early because of the non-food items he swallowed.

D. Forssmann’s fearlessness contributed a lot to his achievement.

49. The greatest difference of the 6 scientists from the majority of other scientists is that ______.

A. they devoted their time to scientific research

B. they would risk their lives for experiments

C. they were greatly enthusiastic about science

D. they made their great contributions to science

C

Middle school is typically a time of chaotic emotions, confusing relationships and challenging growing pains. But it may also have a surprisingly lasting influence on the future.

In a study published in Child Development, researchers found that adolescents who were best able to handle relationship and make sound behavior choices were most likely to be rated by their parents as successful both socially and professionally when they became young adults. “We tend to think that peer relationships in early adolescence don’t mean that much, but that tends to be deadly wrong,” says Allen, a professor of psychology at the University of Virginia. “How well you do with peers as an early teen tells us a whole lot about how you manage in a lot of different ways as an adult.”

Allen and his colleagues followed 184 youths from a public middle school in the Southeast, which included kids from both urban and suburban neighborhoods. They interviewed the teens’ parents as well as their closest friends, starting when the participants were around 13. The

research followed up again when they were ages 20 to 23. “What we’re finding is that the path is not straightforward---it is more like a tightrope walk between trying to connect well with peers on one side and avoiding getting swept up into peer influences toward abnormal behavior on the other.” Says Allen. Indeed, the study showed that teens who best prevented peer pressure during junior high were less likely to involve in criminal behavior or to have alcohol or drug problems. But unfortunately, this ability can also cause problems---this same group also had fewer and weaker friendships as adults.

The research found that those who had the strongest interactions as adults, not surprisingly, were teens walking a middle group, remaining open to peer influence, but not allowing themselves to be controlled by the pressure. That doesn’t mean, however, that when it came to the most common pressures during adolescence, such as smoking, drinking and trying drugs, these teens would definitely say no. “The people who were best at connecting have a lower risk of problems with alcohol and drug abuse, but they actually drink slightly more.” Allen says.

“In terms of alcohol and drug use, the safest path would be to be less influenced and slightly less connected with their peers, but that would then negatively affect your social relationships,” Allen notes. And being socially separated could have negative health consequence. “The research shows that it is as big a risk factor for dying early as cigarette smoking or obesity,” says Allen. “

The findings also stress that it is important for teens to be accepted by their peers and suggests that adults should take these adolescents into consideration more seriously. “Many people think, ‘Why are teens so concerned about these relationships? They’re really no big deal.’” Allen says, “They care because these are indications for how they will function in life socially for the rest of their lives. Relationships are vital to physical and mental health.”

50. How many periods was the study divided during the research?

A. One B. Two C. Three D. Four

51. From paragraph 2 we know that _______.

A. the early life of adolescence means little for their future

B. good peer relationships are of great importance to teens’ future

C. handling relationships is not so important as making behavior choices

D. only the teens who can get along well with their peers can succeed in the future

52. By saying “There is no free lunch here.”, Allen means that _______.

A. the safest path also has its problems

B. people should pay for what they eat

C. being socially separated will lead to alcohol and drug use

D. social relationships will negatively affect one’s health

53. The last paragraph is mainly intended to tell us that _____.

A. it is important for adults to accept what teens are

B. teens care too much about their relationships with peers

C. teens should be encouraged to develop good relationships with peers

D. teens’ relationships will affect their performance in later life

54. Which best describes the writer’s tone in this passage?

A. Doubtful B. Enthusiastic C. Objective D. Concerned

D

The event that stands out in my memory happened one morning in 1983 when I was 14

years old. I was at home with my mother, getting ready for the afternoon session of school.

I was doing my homework when I heard raised voice. At first I thought nothing of it---customers in the motorcycle shop directly below us often became unruly and loud, but I soon realized this was different.

“Quick! Remove the motorcycle from the shop,” someone yelled.

Then a thick burning smell filled the air. When I opened the front door of our flat to investigate, a thick cloud of smoke, billowing up from the ground floor, greeted me. The motorcycle shop had caught fire.

My mum, who had been working in the kitchen, hurried to the living room. We rushed out of the door and along the corridor through the smoke.

We were heading towards the stairway at the far end of the corridor when Mum stopped in her tracks. She turned around and headed back the way we came. I had no idea what she was doing, but I followed suit.

Mum had suddenly remembered the Korean lady in her 70s who lived next door to us, who we called Makcik. Mum began banging on her door, but . As the smoke thickened around us, I could see many of our neighbors---some still in their pyjamas----running for safety.

“She would have run for safety like everyone else!” I cried.

Mum refused to give up. “I know she is still inside,” she said as she pounded the door . “Go downstairs, Shaji. Go now!”

However, frozen with fear, I stood rooted to the spot. By then, both of us were coughing and our eyes were stinging. Time seemed to stand still, though we were probably there for only two or three minutes.

Just as I was beginning to choke, the door opened. Makcik stood there, totally confused. Mum was right---she had been unaware of what was happening. Grabbing her hand, Mum led Makcik downstairs and outside to a safe spot where people had gathered to witness the fire.

The firemen had just arrived and set about fighting the blaze, which was reaching up to the second floor above the motorcycle shop.

Comprehending the gravity of the situation, Makcik broke down. Holding my mother’s hands tightly, and with tears flowing down her cheeks, she spoke to Mum. I could not hear what she said, but there was no mistaking her gratitude. I learned later that Makcik was sleeping when the fire broke out.

I dread to think what would have happened if Mum had not turned back for her.

Soon the firemen put out the billowing flames. There were no deaths and injuries, though the motorcycle shop was completely destroyed.

Although the fire had damaged our corridor badly, it was put out before it could spread into our flat. Our home had been saved, though everything was covered in soot and an awful smell hung in the air. And, sadly, my pet lovebirds were dead.

I felt terrible for not saving them in my haste. However, the thought of Mum’s courageous act in saving a human life brought great relief.

Years later, I asked Mum about this incident. She said that she was familiar with Makcik’s daily routine and was certain she would still be sleeping. When I asked if she was scared, Mum replied: “When a loved one is in danger, the thought of fear never crosses the mind.”

During my school days, whenever I wrote an essay about courageous deeds, I always focused on soldiers risking their lives to save others. It never occurred to me to write my mum

who had, in her determined way, saved our elderly neighbor. Today I know better. Maria Thomas, a timid and modest lady, someone who would not be mistaken for a superhero, had turned out to be my real hero.

55. It can be inferred from the passage that _____.

A. The author knew nothing about the Korean lady living next door.

B. Makcik survived the big fire owing to my mum’s timely rescue.

C. Firemen made no attempt to rescue those trapped in the building.

D. No damage was caused because the fire was put out immediately.

56. Receiving no response from Makcik, Mum refused to leave because _____.

A. she was sure that the fire wouldn’t threaten her life

B. she was convinced that Makcik was too scared to move

C. she was informed that Makcik was in desperate need of help

D. she knew for sure Makcik was indoors, sleeping

57. Why did Makcik break down later?

A. Because she almost lost all her possessions because of the big fire.

B. Because she was frightened by the scene in front of her.

C. Because she was deeply moved by my mum’s act of kindness

D. Because she was shocked by the spreading fire.

58. Which of the following best explains the sentence “When a loved one is in danger, the thought of fear never crosses the mind.”?

A. Love makes all hard hearts gentle. B. Love is blind.

C. Love fears no danger. D. Love never dies.

59. What does the underlined part “to no avail” most probably mean?

A. without success B. worse still

C. to one’s disappointment D. in one’s absence

60. Which of the following can be the best title for the passage?

A. My neighbor: a narrow escape B. The fire: an unforgettable experience

C. The firefighting: a thrilling story D. My mother: a superhero

第二节:下面文章有5处需要添加首句(第61—65题)。请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E和F)中选出符合各段落的首句,并在答题纸上将相应选项的标号涂黑。选项中有一项是多余选项。

A. Negative self-talk

B. Trying to be someone you’re not

C. Comparing yourself to others

D. Never opening the door to challenge

E. Holding on to the past

F. Keeping all to yourself

Deadly habits that drive you away from happiness

Humans are imperfect, that’s for sure! But if something doesn’t go well these days or you’re not where you want to be, here are five possible reasons that you’re driving on the wrong road away from happiness.

61. __________

Whether you are sticking to good or bad memories, spending your life in another time or place, does not drive you forward into something for the better. Pay attention to what you are

doing right now. Learn from what you experienced, and live now; beauty can unfold in magical ways right in front of you if you just look.

62. __________

“I’m not good enough,” is a poisonous thought. Each day write down ten statements or things you like about yourself. This is probably the easiest way to rewire your brain if you keep at it. Just because someone you really cared about never loved you, it doesn’t mean you cannot love yourself. In the end, your love and positivity will matter more, rather than relying on others to find it.

63. __________

Never accept challenges is like never wanting to change. Hiding in a corner because you never felt loved and you felt ashamed for these feelings will never empower you to be something beyond that. You’ll be stuck in that corner forever, continuing the cycle. Cope with the problem one day at a time instead of running away from it. If you’re a shy person who doesn’t leave the house, go out in public once a day and look someone in the eye before you move on to your bigger fears.

64. __________

Your life does not turn around your fantasy of what other people’s lives appear to be on the surface. You’re looking at Sally’s job at the Best Company Ever and thinking that she must have the Best Life Ever, when, in fact, there’s a total disaster area happening in another part of her life. If you often do so, consider deactivating your social media channel for a day and see how you feel. Studies on how Facebook affects self-respect may very well apply to you.

65. __________

Your parents pressured you to get good grades so you’d end up in medical or law school. But that’s never what you wanted. At some point, analyze the mental childhood conditioning you’ve been brought up with. Check in with yourself. Wanting to be pretty and rich might really mean wanting attention, which might really mean wanting to be loved for who you are. It’s time to start digging deep!

I’ve really got to do something to lose weight because I’m getting many too fat. I wasn’t worried about it until I go to see the doctor. He told me I’d probably have a heart attack if I started eating less. Now I realize although I am always hungry, I have to stop eat too much when I’m on a diet. It may be very hard and I certain need a lot of will-power to succeed. But I will stay on a health farm which I won’t be able to eat much and I’ll have to stick my regular diet for a month. I’ll also do a plenty of exercise, which will do my good as well. Either the diet and the exercise will help me gain weight and feel much better.

五、写作

Conflicts among us students are quite common because we are impulsive and don’t know how to control ourselves when they happen. The other day, while waiting for my turn in the canteen, I stepped on another boy’s foot quite by accident. Immediately, I apologized. The boy, however, glared at me, saying that I did that deliberately. His rude remarks annoyed me too. I turned my back to him and tried to ignore him. But to my great surprise, he pushed me hard from behind. It was more

than I could bear and eventually the quarrel changed into act of violence.

Despite the fact that conflicts are unavoidable, we, when involved, ought to keep calm, put ourselves into others’ shoes and find a proper way out rather than let the situation become worse. In this case, we are sure to live in peace with those around us.
