Competition has changed the world
Long time ago, when people raised their own self-awareness, they begun to act for what was beneficial to themselves or their own groups. Gradually, this trend turned out to be the whole human being’s practice and then they competed with each other or each group. As a result, different colonies, different beliefs and different races emerged. It was because of competition.
And then, the world had been divided. Various places were dominated by certain masters. Nevertheless, the desires of human beings were so countless. For most time, they could not just gratify their own fulfillment with what they had possessed, so they tended to fight over extra lands, resources and so forth. By competing fiercely, the weak will be replaced by the strong and the fittest can live. Apparently, the only way to survive is to be competitive. Undoubtedly, human beings will become stronger and stronger. It was because of competition.
Nowadays, Competition is a common phenomenon in our social life. We compete when we try to do better than others in the competition for academic degrees, jobs, customers, money and so on. Through all these personally actions, our social pace embodies intensely and speedily. In a sense, we can say that competition is the most motive force to the development of society. Without it, we would become disengaged and nobody inclines to rake any responsibilities. However, if we make the
best use of it, competition is bound to make people enthusiastic and creative. Just take myself for example, if I feel urged to behave brilliantly in this English speaking contest, full preparations are badly needed to smooth away all those competitive barriers. During this period, I perceived genuinely the power of competition. Actually, it is just the power that supports me from choosing an appropriate topic making me stand out from the rest to delivering it with my true feelings and beliefs. All in all, competition drives the whole world to develop from monotony to variety, from low level to high grade. It has changed the world and will be continuously active till the world end.

Learn to Walk Before You Can Run Learn to walk before you can run. The existence of this wise advice indicates that there do exist people who
believe they can run even being able to walk .Well, I’ll just have to say, unfortunately, that sometimes we are all included in those people. We can’t always recognize
ourselves objectively. We sometimes behave silly and do silly things. I just can’t avoid thinking of these things that happened in Boston. We are all feel sorry about the death of the college student in Shanghai. Many people feel sad about all that stuff and suspect the world we live in. Maybe people want to save and rebuild the world, but how can we do it before we build ourselves? If we skip the walk to run, then it’s likely that we will fall. As college students in 21th century, many of us have great ambitions but face a variety of challenges at the same time. No one can make it before solving all the problems. All the tall buildings do have foundations, all the big tree were saplings before they are grown up. All the things follow this law as well as our human beings. We all say, things are difficult before they are easy. But if we don’t take the first step, things will never be easy. Just do the things
step by step and have fun getting over the difficulties, just have more patience in the progress and enjoy yourself being a toddler.
