第二步:列要点:go out with my football(要去踢球);do some washing, decide to help mum(妈妈要洗衣服,我决定帮忙); invite me to play football, refuse(朋友来请我踢球,我拒绝了); hard work for me, mum gets back and praises me, feel proud(妈妈回来表扬了我,我很高兴); do something in return(谈我的感想)。
Sharing Housework
In the pictures, you can see that a boy is going out with a football. He is going to play with his friends, but his mother is busy washing clothes. When he finds that his mother is busy, he decides to help his mother. So he begins to wash clothes when his mother is away. After some time, one of his friends comes to ask him to play football. But he refuse, he finds it very hard to wash clothes. Finally, he finishes washing all the clothes and hangs them on a line. When his mother comes back, he is praised by his mother. He feels very happy.
From this story, we learn that our parents do everything for us; they are very busy. Sometimes, we can do something to help them a little.
Last Saturday morning, I saw my mother was getting ready to wash some clothes when 1 I was about to go out with my football. I thought, “ How hard mum is working! She must be very tired.” So I decided to give up my plan and to help mum with the washing. I began to wash the clothes when my mum was away doing some shopping. 2 While I was washing, my friend Tim came to invite me to play football. I refused and continued washing. It was hard work for me, for I had seldom done such housework. After about two hours, I finished all the washing and hung all the clothes on a line. Later, 3 mum came back from shopping. When she saw what I had done, she was so pleased that she praised me. I felt proud of myself, too.
I think our parents are working hard for us, and we should do what we can to help in return.4
的come back from shopping 照应。
3. Later 和前面的after about two hours 都是表示时间推移的词。
高分要决:在讲述故事时,later, then, after that, two hours later 等作时间状语的词是最常见的连接词。
Step 3

1
There was once a farmer who worked very hard every day. One day when he was hoeing in the sunshine, he suddenly heard a low sound “Peng”. He found a rabbit dead by the tree, so he took hold of the rabbit excitedly and had an idea that it was so easy to get a rabbit without any hard work. So he dropped off his hoe and waited there for more rabbits bumping into the tree. But day after day, there were no more rabbits coming, and what was worse, all his crops were dead.
This story tells us that we should not wait for unexpected gains by chance and luck. Or, we should not hope to get rewards without hard work.

There was once a farmer who worked very hard every day. One day when he was hoeing in the sunshine, he suddenly heard a low sound “Peng!”. He turned and hurried to the tree. He found a rabbit dying. He took hold of the rabbit and was excited. “What a rabbit! I’ll have it for dinner!” Then he had a good idea, “Why can’t I wait for more rabbits here? It’s cool under the tree.” So he dropped off his hoe and waited there. But day after day, there were no more rabbits coming. What was worse, all his crops were dead.
The story tells us that if you want to get something, you must work hard for it. Remember, “No pains, no gains!”
