英语，是国际通用语言，是大不列颠帝国曾经辉煌的佐证。其重要性不言而喻，但我今天不想高谈阔论，而只想说说它对我个人的影响——英语改变了我。

　　英语改变了我的性格。幼时的我总是沉默寡言，直到初二，这个问题才得以解决。以前的我不知是受到了谁的影响，认为沉默是金，认为“高冷”的性格很酷，从那时开始，我便开始装高冷：父母对我说话时我只回应一个“恩”，同学向我搭话，我也是爱理不理的样子。渐渐地，父母开始担心我是不是生病了，同学们也开始对我“横眉冷对”，那时的我发现了问题，想要去改变，却发现我已经“冷”到了骨子里，对谁都再提不起一点兴趣。直到我看了一部英语电影，我开始对应于着迷；每天看美剧，每天听英语歌。但很快我就意识到光听不说是不行的。从那以后，我便开始腆着脸与同学搭话，让他们听听我说英语，或许是因为我总是吵着要买磁带练听力，与父母的关系也破冰了。时间推移，我从幼时的“高冷”，开始变得阳光、热情洋溢起来。

　　英语改变了我的交际圈。在我开始着迷英语后，我的英语成绩直线上升。我开始受同学和老师的关注与欢迎，时常被老师“推”上台讲述如何学好英语，也时常被同学拉着讲题。不仅如此，在我常玩的一块国际性游戏中，由于我敢于开口说英语，我结交了不少外国玩家。我们相互促进，我教他们一句中文，他们也会指出一些我的英语发音或是语法问题。但最重要的是，我的交际圈由此从国内转向了国际，我不仅开阔了眼界，获取了更纯正的英语知识，还扩宽了自己未来的道路。

　　英语改变了我的人生。虽然目前说这个为时尚早，但我有这样的信心。英语将我从一个内向的人，变为了一个洋溢着热情阳光气息的青春少年，为我开阔了眼界，为我的交际圈画上了浓厚的一笔。同时，英语也为我指明了道路。曾经的我懵懂无知，没有所谓的梦想，没有未来的人生方向，但当我遇到英语的时候，我开始明白我想要的究竟是什么。在我的人生中，英语是不可或缺的一部分。
