Dr. Jekyll finish the last few words of his letter to Utterson,

J (Desperate)

Having run out of my drugs,

my last chance of being Jekyll has come.

Put down my pen,

and stand my last chance,

wish god would forgive the folly of mine.

Dr. Jekyll stand up, gasp in agony, cough and look into the mirror.

J(Panic)

No… Hyde! No!

Dr. Jekyll drop back in fear. He see Hyde in the mirror!

J(Frightened)(Desperate)

Evil creature! You took everything from me!

You are a real monster, longing for your own freedom and joy. You’ve ruined my reputation, and now come to end my whole life!

Dr. Jekyll use his hands to cover his face and cry.

Butler(Outside)

Sir. Mr. Utterson would like to see you.

J(Nervous)

Tell him I can’t see anyone now.

Hyde step out of the mirror.

H(Hatred)

You coward!

Why was I have to share the same body with you!

Your courage really made me sick.

H(CON’T)

If it wasn’t for my own good, I would have killed you.

Dr. Jekyll stood up.

J(Calm)

You know what the worst thing is?

We are tied up with one another,

who we hate most but the only one to depend on as well.

It was my fault creating you.

To separate myself and create a pure evil.

I didn’t think about it clearly enough at that time,

Which lead to what happened today.

H(Angry)

Are you trying to show me your sympathy?

I am eager to have my own life, and I don’t need your comprehension.

J(Sad)

Whoever I am, I’m your only shelter.

Without me you will be arrested very soon and be sentenced to death.

You only have me. But now I’ll be gone forever.

H(evil)

But you are dying anyway.

I never need to share with you my freedom.

You never knew where you were wrong. You deserve this.

One shall never be willing to do bad things, even with another face!

Or… Evil will take your soul. Hahahaha!

Hyde start to push Jekyll into the mirror.

H(Delighted)

Now you shall never bother me again.

J(Sad)

So, this is it. Henry Jekyll’s unfortunate life is ended from now.

When a single bad idea came true.

H(Excited)

But Edward Hyde still has a whole life to live!

Dr. Jekyll gone in the mirror, now Hyde is alone again, laughing in strange noises, as if he’s crying.

A strong knock on the door.

Utterson(Anxious)

Please open the door! I need to see you!

…

Utterson(CON’T)

Or I’ll break down the door!

H(Panic)

Utterson! Please just leave me alone!

Utterson(Emergent)

That’s not Jekyll’s voice! That’s Hyde’s!

I’ll break down the door!

H(Desperate)

No!!!

And Hyde suicide by poisoning himself with the drug.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

This novel was written by Robert Louis Stevenson. He was born on November thirteenth, 1850 and died on December third 1894.He was a famous Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer and he has great influence on English literature.

This novel mainly describe a famous and intelligent physician who turns into a evil man after taking a drug , intended to separate evil from good in a personality . Dr. Jekyll is the main character of this novel .he is known as an acknowledgeable and respectable man in London. Lots of people thought that Dr. Jekyll is nearly a perfect man for what he dose good deeds and cures the pain of his patient. He owned the good fame for what good deeds he has done. But in his inner heart he always feels tired of what role he has acted as .He wants to change himself ,so he does something evil to set free himself .he dreams to do evil things to make himself feel comfortable.

To be another man is the crazy dream for Jekyll .so he mixes some drugs and powder together to make new drugs. After taking this new medicine he becomes an ugly, small and deformed man named Mr. Hyde.Being an evil man, he can does some evil things, where as Hyde was still young and energetic .so he begins his life of evil. During this time, Hyde was looked on as a blackmailer even a murder .he could not get rid of the police who are searing for him

everywhere. So he was forced to be Jekyll again.

For he takes much medicine, he always changes himself between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde .Finally ,his strong desire to do evil things controls himself mostly. he can change himself to be Hyde naturally and unconsciously, which makes him suffered too much .some times he nearly becomes evil Hyde when he talked with friend Utterson and his mails there was a time when two-ness of men .he wished deeply to separate these two men of good and evil inside him.

Utterson is a good friend of Mr. Jekyll, he is curious about what he heard from Richard. So he spends lots of time in collect information about Jekyll and Hyde .this is a long time for him .After both Jekyll and Lanyon died, Utterson read the two letters written by Jekyll and Lanyon .Finally Utterson knows well about the complex things of his two friends .he knows the evil things Jekyll have done and the true feelings of Jekyll. He knows the surprising thing that Lanyon have saw.

The secret and complicated things become bright for Utterson .however; he could do nothing but keep up the good fame for his good friend.

After reading this novel, I feel very shock about what Jekyll have done and though. He has good fame and good social position

so he should cherish what he have owned but do some evil things .In our lives ,we should remember who we are and what we can do or not. In this way, we can always be ourselves and live a happy life. We can keep our good fame forever.
