Perseverance Is Victory

After reading the last page of the book, I still lost myself in the the story of Robinson. Robinson Crusoe is written by Daniel Defoe who is famous as "the father of English novels". And it is one of the world's most popular adventure novels.

Robinson Crusoe was born in a wealthy family. He could live a comfortable life under the help of his parents. But he gave up the chance resolutely. Although his father wished him to become a lawyer, Crusoe preferred to take the adventure to realize his sailing dream . He disregarded the fact that his two older brothers were gone because of their need for adventure. His father thought that a middle-class existence was the most stable. Robinson ignored him. When his parents refusd to let him take at least one journey, he ran away with a friend and searched for free passage to London. Unluckily, their ship sank in the Pacific Ocean and he was the only who was still alive. He stayed at an island for 28 years alone, struggling with the difficulties and hardships by himself. Though he was very lonely and helpless, he didn't give up and finally he created a "new world" for himself. "Suffering for the weak is the abyss, but for the strong is just a stepping stone." Crusoe is a stronger. Although he hadn't done something great, his courage to face the injustice of fate deserved to be learned by all of us. When being trapped in such a bad situation, he hasn't been defeated but made full use of his minds and hands to create the life. No house, his built it; no food, he tried to hunt and grew vegetables. He also tried to make tables and pottery, learn to make bread. In helpless days, he fighted darkness, hunger, fear, loneliness with his perseverance. What Crusoe did showed that we should be persistent and brave when facing difficulties.

" When God closes a door, a window will be open for you." When you are in trouble, don't give up. As long as we can be positive and optimistic and seize the fleeting opportunity, hope is ahead. As we know, Crusoe was in a quiet island alone, there must have been a voice kept reverberating in his mind : "Stop! It is no meaning. No one will rescue you." But he insisted the belief that difficulties will be overcome by human. In fact, we should deal with hardships in the same way. Never give up, so 1

that you will make it. Never give up, so that you will become stronger and stronger. Never give up, so that you will obtain a bright success.

In the long road of life, there are a lot of difficulties and obstacles. Hardships and frustrations are always there stopping our own pace. However, there are two completely different results: failure or success. In fact, the result depends on our choice: move forward or stop here. In a word, attitude makes difference. So believe ourselves, stick to struggling until the last minute. Perseverance is victory!

Never Give Up

Every day, we have to face lots of difficulties in study or in daily lives. Some people are afraid of them and just escape from the problems or even give up their dreams, their lives. However, some people choose to be brave and try to come up with some ways to overcome the difficulties, just like Robinson Crusoe.

Robinson is the leading character in "Robinson Crusoe". He was a navigator in the book. During the sailing to Brazil, the ship caught into a huge tsunami and a big storm. The ship and everyone except Robinson on it were drowned in the ocean. He was so lucky that he drifted to a deserted island alone. Robinson had lived on the island for twenty-eight years with his courage and perseverance. Eventually, he went back to England with the help of a captain who he saved.

After reading the exciting book, I feel so stirring because it is not only a story but also a legend, even a miracle. I can't imagine how hard the life was like but Robinson had been through all the things and made everything well. That's unbelievable. I think he always has a firm belief so he can overcome the difficulties one by one to create a miracle.

Nowadays, many people give up their dreams or even their lives so easily. Compare the problems we have with the ones Robinson has, we can realize how weak we are. The book gives us a lesson that there will be a lot of setbacks and failures, if we never give up our faith, never

despair, we will finally find the road to success. And everybody should learn from Robinson. His passion for life, courage, optimistic attitude towards life and perseverance, those are some important and precious things that we lack today.

I will never forget Robinson's stirring experience, and I will never forget his strong will and infinite wisdom. I understand, if we overcome the darkness, the dawn of the victory will eventually come. So, when we have difficulties, let's keep going! Never give up!
