Good evening!

Ladies and gentlemen!

It’s my great honor to stand here to give you a speech.

To gain an all-round development, some college students joined the student union and some have a part time job. There is no doubt that it is a good way to improve our ability, but problems appeared too! It is common that work takes our study time or we can’t prevent ourselves from thinking of our work. This leads to a bed result. Some students complained: why I don’t have a thirty-hour day? Or I would have enough time to deal with so many work and study but not suffered the conflict of work and study. Now, we are eager to find ways to balance work and study. Here I will show you 4 ways to get your work and study balance. Of cause, it is not by offering you a thirty-hour day.

The most important thing is a positive attitude. As we all know, attitude is a key for everything! So the first way is to take a positive attitude. Holding the idea that work must occupy your study time gets you nowhere. You should be confident that you can deal with these two items. If you believe it, you can manage a perfect timetable and all the problems will turn to small

potatoes. So just take it easy!

With such a positive attitude, what else you need to do is treasure every moment that you have. You know, a thirty-hour day is unrealistic. So please turn it to value your time. Rather than complaining the shortage of time, you’d better focus on study or your work. Don’t waste your time on some pointless things or hesitate for a long time. You must clear your aim (of cause it’s not an unachievable aim), and make a clear timetable. This will remind you your arrangements and make full use of your time.

With the positive attitude and carefully arranged time table, let’s come to the next point----raising your learning and working efficiency. This will make it easier for you to handle both study and work. No matter what you are doing, please attend to it. When doing something, do not be influenced by other things. If you study or work with an absent-mind, you will go though a day with a lot of work unfinished and you may also make some mistakes. Besides, you should also pay attention to some learning method and hold some skills which save your time and enrage. In this way, you can do more and better than others.

Even through we held a positive attitude and improved our efficiency, there still a conflict between work and study. At this

time, we should learn to give up. As we all know, you can’t have your cake and eat it. So in this case, giving up is a sensible choice. Facing this kind of situation, you need to calm down yourself at first and make a comparison of your work and study, then make the best choice! Remember, it is no use spoiling the ship for a halfpenny worth of tar! Just be brave enough to make a choice and give up something.

We have a long way to go before we get our work and study balance. But with so many solutions are offered here, I hope it will do something for you!
