Dear teachers and classmates:

I am glad to stand here to give a speech.My topic is I love English English is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on the Internet. Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

There, I played games and sang English songs with other children . Then I found the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world. Every day, I read English after the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.

On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with others there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit White House. Of course, I want to go to London too . If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy. I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Shouxian. I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English , it will love me too. When I was seven, my mother ask me to have English lessons.

After class she helped the students who had trouble in learning English.

Little by little, I had interest in English, but English was a new subject to me, I had many difficulties in learning it well. I often felt very confused. Even though I wanted to give up learning English. It was Ms. Li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. She helped me to practice speaking English everyday. Please think a minute! I heard a funny true story about this guy who goes to the gym to exercise and work out each week. He takes 20 minutes to change his clothes. Then he walks around the gym talking with different people.

After that, he reads the newspaper. Finally, he does a few stretches and 5 minutes of exercises. Then he takes a hot steam bath before going home. The world in which we live is a very beautiful world. About seven-tenths of the earth is water while three-tenths is land. Water is “life food” of our earth.. It runs through mountains and valleys. It forms lakes and seas.

At the mouths of the rivers,fresh water joins the salt water of the sea. Here at the mouth of a river, there is very important plant and animal life.

What a beautiful day: The sun is shining and the sky is so blue. The land, oceans,mountains and rivers, plants and animals…everything looks bright and gay. The sun gives us light, keeps us warm and makes things grow.

Sometimes,white clouds are like ships sailing across the sky.

The cat and his oilcake（油饼）

Hello, I`m Dai Pinyue from Class 13 Grade 7, Do you know the story 《The cat and his oilcake 》? There is a little cat. He is very very lazy. He can?t wash his face or eat by himself. The mother cat says: “My son, You are old enough to learn some skills.” But he says: “I can?t. I?m still young.” One day, his mother has to go out. And she won?t be back until the next day, So the little cat is at home alone（单独）. What can it do? He can do nothing. The mother cat thinks hard and gets a good idea. She makes a very big oilcake for her son. Then she hangs (挂)it around his neck for him to eat . Then mother leaves. The little cat sleeps very soon. And he begins to snore(打鼾).

A mouse comes out and wants to find some food. suddenly he hears the snores. He looks up and finds the sleeping cat. He is very afraid. The little cat remembers and says: “ A little thing does, It has pointed mouth, small ears, silver hairs and a long tail. He says he is my good friend.” Mum says : “How foolish you are! That is a mouse. The oilcake must have been eaten by him. You don?t learn anything. Now you must try to learn hard.” After that, the little cat isn?t lazy any more. He learns to catch mice with his mum every day. And he catches the mouse who stole his oilcake.
