Good *** ladies and gentlemen! My name is Kim seung-eun.Today I am very excited to stand here to tell you a little bit about the poor situation of global environment.

For a long time,people have exploited mineral resources for developing industry. The wide use of mineral resources causes a lot of pollutions. For example,burning oil can emit carbon dioxide and many other harmful gases.The carbon dioxide contributes to global warming which also leads to the melt of iceberg .Besides mineral resources ,wood which is the most common material also attracted people's attention.According to the report ,in every one minute ,there are 2000 square meters of forest being destroyed.As people cutting down trees crazily, serious desertification appears ,sandstorm is getting more and more frequent,and the earth is hardly keep its temperature . Look what we've done to our planet ! It's time for us to heal the world ! Fortunately , more and more people have realized that the earth is sick and people are also in big trouble.Thus a low-carbon life style is advocated,and in some countries the

private cars are not allowed to drive ever day.

Guys, as teenagers of the 21st century,as the children of the earth ,I think we have duties to save our planet.Let's start from the small things in our daily life .Such as planting a tree, using the public transportation , saving tap water ,stopping littering around ,… these are all easy things for us. As the old saying goes ,"Drop by drop fills the tub" . If we do work together ,I believe we're gonna make a great difference toward the earth.So let's start by ourselves,start by today! 环保演讲：Give environment more care

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My topic is "Give environment more care". I’d like to talk about some global environmental problems, share some of my stories and show you some data in my speech.

At the beginning, I’d like to ask you a question. Has your hometown’s environment been polluted, if it has, raise your hands please? （Thank you） Let me give you an impression of my hometown. That is a small village of Yunnan province. There are many mountains, forests and rivers. If you go there, I promise you will be amazed by its beautiful landscape. Because you just can touch the nature with your fingers and feelings. You can enjoy the blue sky, flying birds, waterfall, amazing sunset and many other sceneries. When I was a teenager, I often climbed these mountains and jumped into clear and clean river for a swim with my peers. However, after my graduation from high school, I came to Beijing for college. I found something different. Because when I raised my head, the sky’s color was not blue, but yellow. When I looked down, dirty and poisonous rivers are full of unrecyclable rubbish and giving out unpleasant smells. When I looked forward, so many people wore their mouth masks. Everyone here complains weather and environment. It seems so inharmonious between man and nature. Why?

As we know, in the past few centuries, human have made countless remarkable achievements in science and technology to explore the mysterious world better. Conquering nature with powerful tools, people have achieved material prosperity. Meanwhile, environment has been badly damaged. So a series of severe problems come along, such as species extinction, energy crisis, incurable diseases, the three main pollutions etc. All of these factors bring our beautiful planet disasters, humanity as well. Let me show you some statistics. According to the report from World Wide Fund for Nature, the species of entire world have declined by 52 % since 1970. That means about 75 kinds of precious species disappear forever from the Earth each day. In addition, scientists claimed that human now need one and a half Earth to meet the demand for natural resources. Another frightening data from the UN in 2012, there are almost 8.4 million people around the world who die of cancers caused by environmental issues every year. It is so horrible, isn’t it? Man has taken too much from nature, also paid such a heavy price for it. If we don’t try to change these situations, what will happen one or two centuries later?

But, fortunately, the majority throughout the world are aware of the significance of environmental protection. Much many individuals, environmentalists and organizations have taken actions spontaneously. Companies donate part of their profits to support some green projects. Moreover, Government has carried out many policies to conserve endangered species, support green industries and encourage people to live a green life. From a global perspective, though it is a long journey to make the Earth recovered and to live in harmony with it, I do believe that, with everyone’s efforts, we will finally get there.

Ladies and gentlemen. For ourselves, for our children, and for all human beings, by the end of

my speech, I do hope you can keep the following words in mind ---- The nature’s prosperity is humanity’s prosperity. Caring environment is caring human’s future. Lives need be valued by us, nature need be respected by us, and the Earth need be loved by us, please give them more care. （Thank you very much. Ladies and gentlemen.）

Hello, everyone . May I have your attention please. To begin with, let me introduce myself briefly . My name is liangzhilin, I am from class 1 of software engineering . It definitely is my honor to deliver such a speech here. Next ,I want to share my topic "born to win "with you tonight.

Each human is born as something new, each has his or her unique potentials, capabilities and limitations, each is born to win.

Great British thinker and philosopher Bertrand Russell said,Three passions have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. This is what he lived for , this is what he wanted to win during his life. (Motivational model )Now , I wanna ask you a few questions : what you have lived for, do you want to win and how to win

There is no doubt everybody has thought about the following issues : what are my things? where lay my dream? how to achieve my lifelong goals? What is the meaning of life? Can I be a man of value?

I always fall into the thoughts above. We own the treasure --- youth, a famous saying recalls me, youth is not a time of life but a state of mind, youth is a matter of the will , a quality of the imagination , a vigor of the emotions. It is the deepest springs of life. But the fact is, Failing to attempt, losing faith and hope, lacking confidence and ambitions, even worse, losing dream. the reality is often ironic.

Everyone wants to be someone, each person have the will to succeed, but most of us give up halfway . A winner is not one who never fails,but one who never quits. Be faithful to your ideal , never give up , you can make a difference as the successful man. you have got to keep one thing in mind " each is born to win ,have no reasons to draw back".

Sweat and tears wash away the setbacks and enlarge the possibility of success. Anyone of us should take up your responsibilities bravely , set up your own stage ,and to make your world colorful and meaningful for the sake of what each one is born to win. Wherever you are, no matter what pains there are, no matter how difficult it is, just do it ,you will be the next winner.
