Abstract:Antoine de Saint-Exupéry(29 June, 1900-31 July,1944)was a successful French writer and pioneering aviator. He was a laureate of several France’s highest literary awards and won the U.S. National Book Award. He is best known for his novel The Little Prince and also his aviation works, includingNight Flight and Wind, Sand and Stars. The Little Prince, since the book has been published, conquered the readers around the world. The Little Prince is a literature work which has a special status in the European literary palace in 20th century. It expressed the writer's rational thinking about the life and love by telling a wise and humanity fairy tale. The writer expressed a rich meaning on the use of symbolism in many parts, which makes his thoughts more animatedly.
This thesis consists of an introduction, the main body and a conclusion. Its main contents are as follows:
The first part of the thesis is the introduction illustrating the writer and his main works which contain the speculation about life and love, and also the embodiment of his thoughts in The Little Prince as well as how they are connected with the image in the novel.
The body of the thesis is composed of three chapters: the first chapter introduces Antoine de Saint-Exupéry both as a successful writer and as a pioneering aviator, and his excellent works. The second chapter gives an overview and commentary of the Little Prince which the writer expresses his direct and plaint feelings about life and love. The third chapter analyzes the writer’s speculation about life and love. This chapter mainly discusses the connection between the images in the story and the little prince, which the writer uses to explore the reality and the inner world of human beings.
The last part of the thesis is the conclusion, summarizing Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s speculation about life and love, taking The Little Prince for example, appealing for the attention of the people in reality and the search for what life and love really mean.

圣·埃克苏佩利（19xx年6月29——19xx年7月31）不仅是法国成功的作家，还是一名出色的飞行员。他曾多次获得法国最高文学奖，并且荣获“美国国家图书奖”。他因《小王子》而被大家熟悉，同时他也出版了许多作为飞行员的作品，例如《夜航》和《风、沙与星星》。自发行以来，《小王子》拥有了全世界范围内的众多读者。这部文学作品在二十世纪的欧洲文学史上也有着独特的地位。在这部童话作品中，圣·埃克苏佩利借助了通熟易懂且颇含哲理的童话故事表达了他对人生和情感的理性思考，同时他巧妙地运用了象征手法使他的感悟更加鲜明。
