He is the father of British detective Stories. His name is Conan Doyle. He was born in May 22, 1895, and he died in July 7, 1930. He was born in Scotland Edinburgh. At the age of 9 he was admitted to the Jesuit preparatory school. From 1876 to 1881 he studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated from Edinburgh Medical University. He was a doctor more than ten years, but his income could only maintain his daily life. In 1891, he gave up doing a doctor, and becoming a detective writer. His father, Charles Altamont Doyle, who was born in England of Irish descent , and his mother , born Mary Foley , who was Irish .His father is a civil servant. He married with Louise Hawkins, and they had two children. In1906, Louise Hawkins died. In1907, He married with Jean Leckie again, and they had three children.

A Study in Scarlet was written in 1887. It introduces a new character in Sherlock Holmes. His name is Watson. The story tells two people the first meet. They live in Beck Street 221B together. They are very closed friend. They find truth and criminal of event.
1890 The Sign of Four
The Sign of theFour was the second novel featuring Sherlock Holmes written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1890 .It had a complex plot. A British lady Merry’s father disappeared, and she often receives an anonymous package every year. It is involved service in East India Company, the Indian Rebellion of 1857, a stolen treasure and jewelry, and a secret pact among four convicts and two corrupt prison guards.
1891 The Man with Twisted Lip
The Man with Twisted Lip tells that a man makes up a beggar. One day, his wife came into city and sees him in hotel. The man is surprised and rise his hand. His wife thinks he maybe is in danger. So, she called Sherlock Holmes. Also, no one can see him until Sherlock Holmes appears. Finally, they find that ha is not a beggar, but a man that does not work. Because the man thinks this is a good way to earns lot of money.

Both method and escape, Holmes and Moriarty have declared cornered. At the end of the story, Holmes and Moriarty launched a life and death struggle in a Cong waterfall edge, the last two people fell in the river, "buried" in the bottomless abyss. But because of the large number of Holmes fans are not willing to see their hero died from falling off a cliff, so to put pressure on Conan Doyle. Finally, Holmes was alive under a pen of Conan Doyle. Watson saw his old friend.
