The Olympic Road of ZhangYining

My favorite athlete is ZhangYining. She is a table tennis player. She was born in Beijing on 5th ,1982.When she was only 5 years old ,she began to play table tennis .Although she was a little girl at that time ,she told her coach, “I want to be the king of the ping pong ball .”She liked playing table tennis very much .She had a big heart to success early in her childhood .By the age of 14,she entered the National Team of table tennis .She met two important people in her life ,Wang Nan and Li Sun .Both of them played an

important part in her road to success. Wang Nan was her roommate from 1996 to 2000.She had won so many prizes in the world .Little by little ,she gave ZhangYining so much influence .Li Sun was the coach of ZhangYining from 1996 to now .He gave her the great number of help when she was in trouble .Li Sun said ,“The only thing that can make her happy is to win the gold medal in the Olympic Games .”How ambitious she is !It made her dream come true more quickly. I will introduce you her Olympic Road in the following paragraphs.

In 2000, she had already been the main player of the

team .But unfortunately she lost a competition to promotion

the Olympic Game. It was almost impossible. All of her fans, media and also herself couldn’t bear it. At that time, she was too sad to train as usual .Everybody knew, at that time ,she had been the No.1of the world .When her

roommate Wang Nan won the gold medal she could only be the watcher of the Olympic Game in front of TV. She was very sad for a long time. Her coach helped her .In 2001, she came out of the dark and won two gold medals in a competition.

Three years later, it was 2004 .In Athens Olympic Games she won both the single and the double .She won two gold medals .It not only made her dream came tune, but also won a continue of glory of Chinese table tennis .When she won the woman single table tennis .She was smiling, it was very sweet and sincere After that, she really took the place of Wang Nan and became the super woman of table tennis. This year in Beijing, her hometown, she won two gold medals again. As the same as four years ago ,she smiled again .She kissed all the people all over the world who likes her very much .I really think it was a reward of all the fans of her .I was very happy too. Aug 22nd was a fine day, it made her

dream came true again. And there was a smile named ZhangYining.

I like ZhangYining best not only for she is the winner of the competitions, but also for her personality. She has a real heart. She has a dream and in order to makes it come true .She never gives up. Although she has met so many difficulties over the 8 years, she was always strong minded and faced them actively. Playing table tennis takes her a plenty of time to practice .It almost the whole of her life in past 15 years. Now four gold medals of the Olympic Games return to her .These are her harvest.

I am her supporter forever .When I am very tired of studying, once I think about her I will be full of energy immediately.

At the 2012 National People's Congress, when Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with Chinese and foreign reporters, he raised his voice and said, "Pay more attention to the poor and disadvantaged groups in our society. They also constitute the majority of our country." Before this, the sixty-eight-year-old Chinese Premier has spent more than 2 hour answering a series of questions of the journalists patiently and kindly. He emphasized that China's modernization not only refers to economic development, it should also include social equity, justice and moral strength.

It was the last time that Wen gave speech at the National People's Congress.Becuase he was going to retire from Chinese government. Up to now, he has been working for the government for 25 years. Born in September 1942 in Tianjin city, he joined the Communist Party of China in April 1965 and entered the work force in September 1967. He is nominated as premier by National People's Congress twice. During his career, He is so capable of his work and kind to his people that he is popular with many people from home and abroad.

On one hand, as the head of Chinese Central People's government, Wen Jiabao is considered to be one of the most powerful leader in the world.

In 2005, Wen, along with General Secretary Hu Jintao, abolished the thousand year

old agricultural tax entirely. They focused on the "Three Rural Issues", namely, agriculture, the countryside, and farmers, and emphasized these core areas as requiring further work and development. At committee meetings of the State Council, Wen made it clear that the rural wealth disparity problem must be addressed and he really made great progress in it. From then on, more and more people especially farmers worshiped Wen and also called him “man of people ”.

In addition, Wen Jiabao has played a prominent role advancing China's foreign policy positions and has become increasingly visible on the world stage as China's economic power expanded. In December 2003, Wen visited the United States for the first time. During the trip, Wen was able to get President George W. Bush to issue what many saw as a mild rebuke to the then President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Chen Shui-bian. Wen has also been on visits to Canada and Australia, mostly on economic issues. Wen also visited Japan in April 2007 in what was termed the "de-thawing journey", where he characterized the relationship between the Asian powers as for "mutual benefit". He also met with Emperor Akihito and played baseball.

As for public health,Wen was involved in two major episodes. In early 2003, he was involved in ending the official inaction over the SARS crisis. On 1 December 2004, he became the first major Chinese official to publicly address the problem of AIDS, which has devastated parts of the provinces of Yunnan and Henan and threatens to be a major burden on Chinese development. Since May 2004, Wen made various visits to communities devastated by AIDS, trips shown prominently on national media. By

showing these actions, Wen displayed an effort to reverse years of what many activists have described as a policy of denial and inaction. Furthermore, Wen is concerned about the health and safety of previous drug addicts. Since March 2004, Wen had visited several drug addict treatment facilities in southern China and addressed the issue to the patients in person, recognizing that AIDS is more likely to be spread by drug abuse and the reuse of hypodermic syringes than by sexual contact.

On the other hand,Wen is also a populist in most observers’ heart.His quick responses and visits to the scenes of various disasters, including the 2008 snow disaster and Sichuan earthquake, has earned him a considerable reputation as an approachable leader .

In January 2008, a large area of southern china was undergoing severe snowstorm ,Wen Jiabao made his way south to the disaster area at once to organize the disaster work.During this visit, he visited train stations in Changsha and Guangzhou, and apologized to the public while calmed their mood for long train delays, “spring festival is coming. I show my sincere bless to you in advance.” he said to the public. This movement of premier wen brought away a lot of unsatisfactory of the passengers and warmed their hearts, thunderous prolonged applause erupted and rocked the hall of the railway station after hearing that.

In May of the same year, a big earthquake happened in SiChuan province.Premier

Wen went to the disaster area a mere few hours after the disaster occurred. He declared on national television that survivors are to be rescued as long as there is "a glimmer of hope". He was named the General Commander of the Earthquake Relief Efforts Committee immediately following the disaster.At the same time, during his career, Wen is always in touched regularly with locals on his trips to various Chinese provinces as well as foreign visits. He played baseball and badminton with Japanese and South Korean citizens during visits to those countries. "Whether taking a stroll or swimming, it puts me at ease both mentally and physically and helps me handle my heavy workload," Wen had remarked. His great love and candid nature attracted a large popular following from home and abroad.

In all, Wen has contributed most of his time and energy to the more peaceful, richer and healthier life of people in China including people from all over the world.
