The table illustrates the amount of foreign travelers to 7 countries. The 7 countries include Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, and Thailand.

The first 3 welcomed countries for foreign visitors are France, Italy and Canada, 53 million, 20 million and 15 million respectively. It is obvious that almost half travelers chose France to be their destination among the 7 countries.

Most of British people love to go to France, Ireland and Italy, while American people prefer Canada, Mexico and Italy. The distances to one’s nation account for the different biases. For instance, English favor European countries, while American like North American countries better. They tend to choose those countries near their home.

It is also very interesting to find that People in the UK love to visit France, but those from the U.S. do not. In addition, the second favourite country for American people is Mexico, however, British people are less likely to go here among the seven countries. There are amazingly the same number of people from the 2 country visited Thailand and Australia.

canada received more than twice as many visitors as Mexico (15 millon compared to 7 million), yet the percentage of visitors from those countries from the USA was about the same, 80%, 12million americans visited canda whilst 5.5 million visited mexico. Britsh visitors to these two countries were much few in number, with0.6 million visiting canda and 0.1 million visiting mexico.

Ausralia had half as many visitors as Thailand (3million compared with 6 million ), but the number of visitors to those countries from both UK and the USA was the same, 0. 3 million.

france and ireland(total ......) received more visitors from the UK (7.4million and 2.4million respectively) than from the USA(0.1 million and 0.4 million respectively). In addition, France had a higher total number of visitors than any of other countries on the list, over half of ireland's visitors came from UK. Italy received 20 million visitors, of which 1.2 million were from the UK and 1.8million were from the usa.

although the table shows a limited number of countries, it can be seen that British and American people tend to visit those countries nearest geographically.
