Nine Week Teacher Training Course
Each week is designed to focus on a specific area of language instruction. Week 1 will focus on western traditions of language instruction. Weeks 2-5 focus on individual language skills. Weeks 6-8 address issues faced by teachers and administrators. Week 9 will cover special topics on English usage. The nine hours of instruction each week will be made up of lectures, discussions, and hand-on workshops that may include observation and practicum. 关于启动南工院大学生海外文化交流项目
——20xx年暑期赴美访学的通知
各院系:
为进一步贯彻落实江苏省中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要,推进江苏高校国际化进程,满足在校大学生海外学习交流的需求,在20xx年夏天首次实施江苏省大学生赴美国开展文化交流活动并取得良好效果的基础上,为充分做好有关前期准备工作,江苏省教育国际交流协会决定启动20xx年江苏大学生海外文化交流项目,组织在校大学生于20xx年夏天赴美国访名校、听讲座、观名城、游景点,全面了解美国社会。根据苏教际协[2011]16号文件精神,现将有关事项通知如下:
一、项目内容
1、大学生美国文化交流(14天)
学生将参观哈佛大学、斯坦福大学、麻省理工学院、加州大学伯克利分校、马里兰大学、哥伦比亚大学、纽约大学、加州大学洛杉矶分校、加州理工大学等美国知名学府,访问旧金山、洛杉矶、华盛顿、纽约、波士顿等美国著名城市,了解美国的经济、教育与文化,游览白宫、华盛顿纪念碑、航天博物馆、美国国会、美国国家博物馆、自由女神像、大瀑布、好莱坞等美国著名文化景点。
2、大学生美国文化交流(21天)
学生将参观加州大学伯克利分校、哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、斯坦福大学、麻省理工学院、马里兰大学、哥伦比亚大学、纽约大学、加州大学洛杉矶分校、加州理工大学等美国知名学府,访问旧金山、洛杉矶、华盛顿、纽约、波士顿等美国著名城市,参观美国企业,了解美国的经济,游览白宫、华盛顿纪念碑、航天博物馆、美国国会、自由女神像、大瀑布、好莱坞等美国著名文化景点。三周时间内除了在美国东、西海岸参观访问,学生将有一定时间在美国知名高校听取专题讲座,全面了解美国历史文化、美国社会、美国经济、高等教育体系、高校研究生申请、大学生就业情况等。
3、项目具体内容及费用

14天组和21天组的详细内容请到http://xsc.阅览及下载),学生可自行选择和参与。14天的项目费用约31600元/人,21天的项目费用约36800元/人。费用主要包括全程机票费、境外保险费、签证费、境外期间学习考察费、游览费、餐费、住宿费、交通费、导游费、翻译费、集体活动所发生的小费、服务费等,不含护照证件费、购物、洗衣、电话、收费电视节目、邮寄、行李搬运等其它一切私人费用。
二、项目实施时间
20xx年7月5日—8月25日之间,分批出访。
三、报名条件
本校在籍学生;身心健康。
四、其它事项
1、项目的具体日程安排在江苏省教育厅江苏省教育国际交流协会网站首页《项目指南—短期交流》里公布,请报名者登录协会网站http://jeaie.ec.以及时获取准确信息。
2、报名者须持有因私护照,并确保本人护照在20xx年2月底前有效。无因私护照的同学需自行到本人户籍所在地公安局申请办理。有意向出访、且户籍在家乡的同学最好请在寒假返乡期间把因私护照办妥。
3、报名时间及报名方式
(1)请报名者按通知要求填写好《江苏大学生海外文化交流项目报名表》(请到学生工作处网站http://xsc.下载),并于20xx年3月1日前交到本院系学生工作办公室,各院系请在3月5日下班前将学生报名表和名单汇总表交学工处管理科;
(2)报名学生请于3月6日下午-9日携银联卡到学院财务处刷卡缴费,并于3月9日前将学院财务处收据复印件交到学工处管理科;正式票据将由江苏省教育国际交流协会统一开具。
(3)学生工作处联系人:曹乾坤,电话:85864025。
(4)学院将于3月14日前将参加江苏大学生海外交流项目学生的报名表、汇总表原件及学生预付金送至江苏省教育国际交流协会,其它事项将按江苏省教育国际交流协会的具体安排进行办理。
