My major is Business English and this book is about Business English.It contains 19 topics.Each topic is about an celebrity,such as Steven Jobs.Every story that is related to them teaches you how to do business and what kind of strategy they took to lead to their success.This book involved in investment and financial affairs that are collected from celebrities in financial fields.

It is set on the eve of economic integration,faced with rigorous test and hard rock of reality,undergo rapid change.In order to make livings and have continuously develop- ment,enterprises have to adopt the newest and the most special tactics so that their corporations can stand in the competitive market firmly and give full play to their expertise to bring huge profits.So,this book collected nearly 20 celebrities? strategies in operations from domestic and overseas,their successful experiences may help you to innovate the policy of operation and reform the mode of operation so that to bring huge profits.The book consists of six characteristics:1.Easy to understand .On the “ easy to know,learn to use”basis,the book picked out the most classical examples to decode.The editor was aimed at their success and provided the core of the examples to you.2.Be excellent in both illustrations and the text.With these ,we could read the book with interests.3Bilingual .This is an English-Chinese bilingual textbook

1. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the book or the article? (≥100 words) Strengths:This book consists of investment,financial affairs and operations that are related to successful celebrities and companies.Besides,the beautiful English words
are attached to it .As a business English book,its high qualities and business stories are wise for us to learn from.And it can benefit us a lot.
Weakness:This book contains many successful celebrities? experiences,but as a first learner in business English,I think it is hard for us to operate it .Their success are based on many practical experiences,but we don?t have enough experiences to catch it.We could do nothing but read.
2. What is the part of this book or article that had the greatest impact on you? Why? (≥100 words)
The last part of this book that had the greatest impact on me .The last part is about a Chinese famous people--Ma Yun,he said:connecting China with world.His ambition and generosity impressed me.Ma styles Alibaba as the champion of small proprietors At 43,he is revered as the “grandfather of the Chinese Internet”--although he says he never heard of the World Wide Web until 1994.After going through the exercise of drawing up principles,Ma was surprised to discovered that the company was showing sign of real change.Employees were maturing,customers increasing,and new member piling in.

In the view of my point,the writing is effective and powerful.After finishing reading this book,I felt that I learned so many things that I haven?t learned before,it?s having the right people,in the right place at the right time,doing the right work,the right way the topics in the book all tell me how to do business and how to do business that in the most effective ways.It?s more than a book,but friend who you can trust and learn from.You can?t treat the modern world in an old way,it?s so called you cannot fight a modern-day war with weapons of the Mahabharata.
4. What new facts did you learn that you hadn?t known before? (≥100 words) When the indicators start to show that you are making a lot of improvement.it encourages more and more people to jump in and help the rest of the team achieve more.It?s a kind of nurture circle where performance feeds motivation,and motivation and motivation feeds performance.Everything changes.The only thing that dose not change is change itself.All we have to do is survive.Not dying gives us hope.Learning is essential to our aspiration to be a great company.The most impressed me is that: don?t be buying out of emotion.Buy less if you love something but feel it?s a risky item.We don?t want overstock.And remember:No profit,no fun!

If I could talk to the author,I would thanks him first.First of all,thanks for compiling this wonderful book for we readers.As a matter of fact,there are not so many books that are about business English in the market,you gave us a first-hand materials about business English .Then,you must spend so much time in compiling the book,it is very kind of you to do this.Finally,this book offered us a very practical experiences to do business ,it is a bright light when in darkness.Anyway,thank you so much to compile this book for us.
6. What did you learn about yourself as a result of reading this book or article? (≥100 words) When you are inspired by some great purpose,some extraordinary project,all your
thought break their bonds--your mind transcends limitations,your conscience expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new,great and wonderful world.Dormant forces,faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person by than you ever dreamed.Believe that your work is noble,and good things follow.I like competition--it allows this organization to differentiate itself,and makes us better than we would be otherwise.But,do unto other as you would want done unto you and if things aren?t right now,we?ve just got to fix them.

The book tells people some business stories about celebrities all over the world. According to the book,the success of business is mostly determined by their strategy. in the past so many years,revolution of science and technology has brought great benefits to all the nations,especially those powerful countries,such as America,which use the latest technologies and own the best basic facilities to develop business.
The book analyzed some of the main successful celebrities? experiences and strategies on their way to success.One of these success is breaking the rules,which is called innovation.It was applied to business by many successful companies,such as China Mobile Communication Corporation.In this way,every department of a company is in their right way to do the right thing,which is moving continuously.It was so happy that the efficiency of doing thing was improved.By analyzing its development strategies in recent years,the reason for China Mobile?s development have become much clearer.Some of the reasons for China Mobile?s rapid growth would include: developing prepaid services and exploring the rural market to rapidly increase the number of subscribers,development data services and developing overseas merger. Another example is a company called Patagonia.Its founder,Yvon Chouinard, Applied his conception to clothes and made his clothes a household brand.Their point was not to focus on making money,focus on doing things right,and the profits would come.
Ma yun ?s example is also good.Nobody doubted Jack Ma?s ability to talk,but his management decisions leading to the company?s wild expansion in 2000,then under the influence of the dot-com bust in Silicon Valley,the company returned to China .At the same time,Ma narrowed the focus of the company to its original goals and purpose.He told employees,”If you want to work at Alibaba,your daily work has to focus on our three main goals.If you feel we are crazy in doing this,then please leave.If you are just waiting for us to take the company public,then please leave. If you are bringing to the company individual perspectives that are not beneficial to our overall goals,please leave.And if you are restless and dissatisfied,please leave.” The attitude of many employees improved after this direct approach.
These stories tell us that companies cannot ignore the innovation of its strategy Every world-famous company has its own core strategy.Through invest in innovation needs a long period to take effects,it will provided us with core-competitiveness.
We need a lot of work to pave the way to innovate.First,we need a better educate system.Students should be encouraged to search the answer instead of reciting the result in book.Second,patents should be better protected to encourage innovation.
In a word,we need to do a lot to improve our system.
New strategy means new opportunity,now when we enjoy our smart phone,we should know that it is advanced conception that brings Apple Company a great success.The book also draws my attention to the competition.Our country is still behind developed countries in science.We also have many heavy industries.They polluted our air day by day,and how to make them more environmentally-friendly, it needs innovation.With so many problems to solve,we still have a long way to go!
