Describe a particular letter you received.

Though People mostly send emails now-a-days for official and personal communication, the handwritten letter has its own importance as well. Today I would like to talk about a hand written letter that I received when I was 14 years old. This particular letter was written by my father and I was so excited to receive it that I read it several times. The letter was about the scholarship result and my father wrote me to inform me that I got the scholarship. In his letter he congratulated me and wrote that he was proud of me.

I was staying at a relative’s house after my final and scholarship exam with my mother and sister and one day I found that a post office peon delivered a letter to my uncle. My uncle handed over me the letter as it was addressed to me. I found that it was written by my father. I read the letter quickly and was very excited to learn the news. I read it again and then informed my mother and relatives about it. My mother read it and congratulated me as well.

As a kid, the scholarship was very desiring for me and when I found that my father was very happy, that made me happier.

Yes, everyone nowadays uses the internet. Many people have it connected in their homes, there are 24-hour Internet cafes everywhere. I have seen people in Internet cafes at all hours of the night. Many coffee bars even have wireless Internet set up for their customers to freely use. Just about everyone has an email address and instant message by web-cam has become a huge fad. there are some people are even addicted to internet games like War-craft or Counterstrike.

2. Why do people use the Internet?

People use the internet for so many reasons. We keep in touch with friends or business through email. Many people go to news sites to keep up with current events. The internet is also used as entertainment. I like to look at videos and sports highlights. I also like to instant message with my friends. I can talk to my friend’s easily, and I’m able to talk to multiple people at once.

3. What are the benefits that people get from using the Internet?

The internet has enormous benefits. The internet boosts communications through email, messaging, and information broadcasting websites. You can get news and reference from every major newspaper, encyclopedias, and dictionaries. There is limitless entertainment on the web including movies, music, videos, and upcoming events in your area. The internet also provides endless commerce, shopping, travel bargains, and fast great advertisement for your company.

So many people use the internet because they find it is a reliable source for information, games, picture, maps, videos, music, just about everything you can name is on the internet. Even though sometimes can not find what you are looking, it is on the internet somewhere. Search engines are the most reliable sources, because it helps you find what you want by just typing in keywords.
