Step I. Pre-reading
a. Lead-in
1. Ask the Ss to tell what things they think are beautiful .
2. Show the Ss some pictures and ask whether they think the persons in the pictures are beautiful to arouse their interest and lead to the conclusion
→ Different people have different views on beauty.
3. Introduce the sub-title: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and help the Ss understand its meaning.( 情人眼里出西施) Guess and choose one that is closet to its meaning. a) Beauty is only skin-deep.
b) Bird of a feather flock together.
c) The eyes of love are blind.
4. Vocabulary Study
Present them some pictures and ask them to say them in English ,pay attention to words that go together, after which, they will do an word Exercise.

我们已经进入信息时代,它象征着人类的时代跨越。但是,这一次最显着的特征是网络的迅速流行和普及。互联网正在以前所未有的速度影响和改变人们的学习式和工作方式。随着信息技术的发展,互联网正发挥着越来越重要的作用,互联网正在以前所未有的速度影响和改变人们的学习方式。传统的高中英语教学没有为学生提供一个无障碍的课堂交流环境。学生的思维能力并没有得到很好的开发。网络教学在中学教学中还没有得到充分利用。

作为21世纪的老师,我们应该多思考,多学习如何将新的方法-网络教学在中学教学应用到我们的日常教学中去,从而在高中英语教学中,利用网络采取不同的方法来教不同的课。网络教学可以是学生精神放松,思维敏捷,有助于提高学生学习英语的兴趣。网络教学在现代非常流行,它也必将成为未来高中英语教学中的必不可少的手段。
