今天,环球托福为大家特意搜集整理了托福TPO30口语答案分析之Task1&Task2。我们会从托福TPO口语题目题、答案、分析,三点反复介绍托福TPO口语的Task1&Task2的回答思路。

托福TPO口语题目

Task 1:

A friend of yours is looking for a new place to live and has asked for your advice. What do you think is the most important characteristic of a good neighborhood? Use details and examples to explain your answer.

Being quiet

Suggestion—not in CBD, in the middle of a residence

Convenient

Suggestion—get to bus stop/subway station within 10minutes

托福TPO口语答案

Being quiet—cuz home is the place to relax our nerves and enjoy peace with families—so the apartment should not be around CBD where there are crowded traffic and a high flow of people which would be noisy.

Convenient—cuz in a capital city like Beijing ,taking public transportation is more efficient than driving private cars—so living in a block where you can walk to the bus stop or supermarket within 10 minutes would be admirable. Although the rent/price is higher, it's worthwhile.

Task 2:

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Parents should be involved in the process of helping their children to choose a career.

Use specific examples and details to support your opinion.

A: should be involved

Parents are mature & experienced same situation, advice is practical

Children are confused

B: should not be involved

Kids are individuals with own dreams, shouldn't push /force

Parents situation was different ,kind of out of touch with current world

托福TPO口语答案

Parents are people who know their kids more than others. Since they have experienced the situation of making a career decision and are more realistic with knowledge about working &socializing in a company, the advice from them is usually practical, like they know which field is less competitive and suitable for their pure kids. Most people at the age of choosing a career are not truly clear about their future, like it's such a pain in the neck for my cousin and his classmates. Children are all individuals with their own dreams and plans for their future .they have the right to

decide whether to be a doctor or a cleaner. If parents are too authoritarian and push their ideas to kids, the relationship between them will be deadlocked and even cause hurt to the teenagers.

Although parents might have experience based on their situation, yet their sons or daughtes'problems are totally different. So their advice are somewhat inappropriate cuz they're kind of out of touch with current world's development.

托福TPO口语答案分析

建议: university should schedule construction projects to take place during the summer break

1) construction projects are disruptive & they create inconveniences

2) be completed quickly in summer when the weather is usually good.

女 同意

All for it

1) Woman drive, last December repairing parking lots, students who drive to school need to circle around and park on street and walk to classroom, late; even professor late

2) Took long cuz snow storms, keep stopping for a week or two

Eric proposes that university should schedule construction projects to take place during the summer break as they create inconveniences and could be completed quickly in summer when the weather is usually good. The woman in the conversation totally supports it. Cuz last December when the parking lot was repaired, parking were really inconvenient ,like most students including her and teachers who drive to campus needed to park cars on streets and walk to classes which made them late for class. Also the reason why the lots repairing took too long was there were bunches of snow storms which caused the projects kept stopping from time to time.

问题:

Supposed to start driving to see movie in town with Amy 15mins ago, amy hasn't show up,worried may miss beginning

解决方案1:

Go by herself, leave a voice mail

解决方案2:

Wait another 10 mins since Amy's often late

负面评价:

Miss the beginning

The woman has waited amy for 15minutes to see a movie in town , but she hasn't shown up even didn't response any of the calls or voice messages.

The first solution is that she could go by herself and leave a voice to her. The second solution is to wait another 10 min since Amy ‘s often late.

I personally prefer the first solution. Because firstly, there is only chance that she sees the movie before it's discussed on class and she has other work to do and it's amy's fault not arriving on time . Even if amy would miss it, she still has another chance the second day and she will understand the speaker.

抽象概念:

Emotional intelligence helps people to behave appropriately in social situations, which allows them to maintain good relationships with others

例子: His daughter Watch a movie with a friend, then argue what to watch, she upset—realize not appropriate not upset about friend but the summer job with kids cuz no work with them and wanna do well—apologyze, explain ---friend encourage—relax, fun

Emotional intelligence helps people to behave appropriately in social situations, which allows them to maintain good relationships with others. The professor told an example of his daughter who was watching a movie with her friend. They argued about what to watch got upset. The she realized that her reaction was not appropriate and also she was not really upset about her friend but her summer job with kids cuz she hadn't worked with them before and wanted to do well. Then she apologized to her and explained her reason. Her friend encouraged her which made her relaxed and then had fun together.

When we humans walk from place to place, we move on the Earth's surface, across the Earth's surface. Many animals of course, do the same thing, horses and dogs and cows and so on, all move on the surface, across the surface of the Earth.

But there are also quite a few animals that have the ability to move from place to place underground, beneath the Earth's surface. This moving around underground is known as subsurface locomotion. Subsurface locomotion has a number of benefits.

One benefit of subsurface locomotion is that it enables animals to minimize their exposure to extreme temperatures. This is very helpful for animals that live in areas with harsh climates, where it could be very dangerous to spend large amounts of time on the surface. For example, in the Sahara desert in Africa, there's a type of lizard that's able to move beneath the surface, through the sand very quickly. Because this lizard can move so easily and so quickly underground, it doesn't have to travel on the surface, where it would be exposed to dangerously high temperatures.

Another benefit of subsurface locomotion is that it can help animals capture prey. That's because animals on the surface can't see predators that are approaching underground. Our lizard in the Sahara desert is again a good example. The way it works is, when an insect is walking nearby on the surface, it produces very subtle vibrations in the sand. When the lizard senses these vibrations, it moves very quickly underground where it can't be seen towards the source of the vibrations. It then suddenly pops up right under the insect and catches it completely by surprise.

托福TPO口语答案分析

总括:

Subsurface locomotion –animals move beneath earth, benefits

观点1:

Enable animals minimize exposure to extreme temperature, avoid harsh climate.

例子1:

Saharan desert lizard, quickly, not on surface with high temperature

观点2:

Capture prey, cuz animals on surface can't see them

例子2:

Saharan Lizard ,insect walk and produce vibration ,lizard sense ,move quickly, catch by surprise

Subsurface locomotion is the ability that animals can move beneath earth and it has two benefits .One benefit is that it enables animals to minimize exposure to extreme temperature, avoiding harsh climate. Like the Saharan desert lizard because it could move quickly and doesn't walk on surface it avoided the high temperature. The other benefit is it helps animals capture prey cuz animals on surface can't see them. Still like Saharan Lizard sense vibration produced by insects walking in sand, the lizard could move quickly to them and catch them by surprise.
