Talking about something I want to buy, there is nothing else but a book about vocabulary. You may think it is awkward, but it is true. I do hope that I can buy a book named ‘the origin of English words’.

I heard of the book from a TV program, which shares the interests of learning English. Because many students have difficulties in remembering the words, which is the basis of learning enlgish, as you know. Someone recommended a book named “the origin of English words”. It is published by beijing university press early in this May. The writer is a teacher in Beijing, who has studied in Sydney for many years, and has a long teaching experience. In his book, he writes some words in sequences. What’s different is that almost every word in the book has a story. For example, “academy”which is a difficult word to remember. But he tells the story of the word. It used to be a name a place, where Plato, a philosopher, once travelled and set up a study center there. From that time on , academy means a place of study in some special field.

I am simply interested in the story and the culture behind the words. I think the way the book suggested is really good for remembering vocabulary.

I searched many bookstores in Changsha ,but I haven’t found it so far, but I am still looking for it. I wish I can get it quickly.

Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone phablet are shaping up to be the most important devices Apple has launched since the first iPad debuted in 2010. For years, Apple has known that consumers wanted smartphones with significantly larger displays, but the practically useless bump from 3.5 inches to 4 inches on the iPhone 5 was all it was willing to offer. Until now, it would seem.

Numerous reports have suggested that the iPhone 6 will feature a larger 4.7-inch display that might finally bring a more useful screen size increase to Apple’s flagship smartphone. On top of that, Apple is widely expected to launch a second new iPhone in 2014 with an even bigger screen.

Between those two devices and the iPhone 5s and 5c combo, which will reportedly occupy the lower-end price points in Apple’s iPhone lineup, Apple may finally be giving everyone what they want in terms of iPhone sizes.

But it’s not just consumers who will seemingly be sated by Apple’s iPhone lineup in 2014.

According to a note sent to clients on Monday by well-respected Apple analyst Katy Huberty at Morgan Stanley, sales of Apple’s iPhone 6 will likely jump 20% compared to sales of the iPhone 5s when it launched in 2013. As AppleInsider noted, that would mark huge growth compared to iPhone sales last year in the iPhone 5s’s launch quarter, which were up just 6.7% on-year.

Huge fiscal first-quarter iPhone sales growth combined with the surprisingly solid iPhone sales growth Apple saw last quarter could give investors exactly what they have been looking for as well: signs that Apple’s iPhone sales can buck the trend of slowing growth we’re seeing elsewhere in the smartphone market.

The latest example of significantly slowing high-end smartphone sales growth came from Samsung, which apparently took about the same amount of time to ship 10 million Galaxy S5 handsets as it took to ship 10 million Galaxy S4 units last year.

If Apple can somehow manage to give consumers what they want with bigger iPhones and give investors what they want with stronger than expected sales growth, 2014 could end up being a huge year for Apple, its fans and its investors.

The exciting sport that I know thefour-wheel motor bike riding in the Casela park of Mauritius. I went toMauritius last year for a trip and the most exciting part of it was thefour-wheel motor bike riding. That day I went the national park called “CaselaPark”, it’s a huge park with incomparable nature scenery and numerous wildanimals. The wild life seeing was what we were coming for but more importantly,these whole wild exploring will be done on the motor bike. I’ve hundreds oftimes some adventurous explorer riding the four-wheel motor bike chasing thewild

life in the land of Africa which i was about to do by myself. Eventhinking about that made me so bold. Motor bike riding was actually not thathard as it seems like. The only thing you need to do is to hit the gas when goforward and put on the brake when stop. But the trick part is that the pathsare always muddy and zig zag, so you really have to pay a lot of attention tothe road and keep in a stable pace or else it could be extremely turbulent andeven dangerous. After a 10 mins training, we started our first exploration inthe wild. To my surprise, I handle this monster well throughout the whole routeand the feeling of riding a powerful vehicle in the wild was really breathtaking and heart beating. Not to mention the marvelous views I saw on the way,the touch with Zebra, dear and Ostrich has already driven me crazy. After atwo-hour trip in the massive wild land with motor bike, I feel like I haveblended in the vibes of Africa. Until now I am still missing that day a lot,hoping I can do that again.

I enjoy playing various kinds of brain games online. There are a number of different websites I visit on a regular basis in order to play these games by myself. The objective of the games is to exercise different areas of your brain so that you preserve and enhance your memory and also expand and develop your brain capacity.

The games are of various kinds. Some enable you to practice your verbal skills. Others test logical reasoning, spatial skills and visual memory. I can keep track of my scores, so that each time I play, my goal is to do better than in the past – to outdo myself, so to speak. In addition, if I want, I can compare my scores to others who play online. This aspect is intriguing, but frankly it doesn't interest me much. I don&'t regard this as a competition with anyone else. It is something I do simply to sharpen my mental abilities and improve myself.

In fact, one of my favorite games is supposed to be the best for brain fitness. It involves solving a number of simple math problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as quickly as possible. I really hope these games will enable me to preserve my intellect and my memory into old age.
