Should Retirement Age Be Raised?
Whether to raise the retirement age has become a hot topic nowadays. Many people see increasing the retirement age as a way to help address the financial challenges in the social security fund. And, they say, there are compelling demographic reasons for such a change — increased life spans, increased working capabilities, and a structural demand for experienced labor.
However, many more were against raising the retirement age. They argue that the pension fund has a surplus now. Besides, a prolonged life span doesn’t necessarily mean that people are able to work longer. More importantly, raising the retirement age would put more strain on the already grave employment situation. Adding working years for those now employed would mean fewer openings for the new job seekers who are younger and healthier.
Personally, I think the government should raise the retirement age only when there is severe labor shortage, relatively high pension payments or the government is in a fiscal crisis. However, it’s apparent that our country now has none of these three scenarios. Therefore, I don’t think it necessary to raise the official retirement age at present.

Students’ Starting Their Own Businesses
Many college students are now seeing self-employment as the more attractive option as the jobs market continues to be competitive. To some people, the idea of being a student entrepreneur is a good one. Being their own boss is a great aspiration for young people and gives them an opportunity to put their theoretical business knowledge into practice.
To other people, however, the idea of starting a business as a college student may seem like a radical one. To make it through the start-up phase, young entrepreneurs need plenty of initiative and drive. And to run the business requires constant care and management. Young entrepreneurs may have to endure a heavy workload and a lot of stress but they may not be physically and mentally up to the challenge.
As you can see, things are hard for college students these days. It’s expensive to get a degree and even you have one, there is no guarantee that it will mean anything in these job markets. So, wouldn’t it be better to launch your own enterprise? It can help you pay off those expensive years at college, and if it succeeds you have a job guaranteed the moment you graduate.

A growing number of female college students are choosing to get married soon after they graduate from college. So while other students are busy with seeking jobs, they are busy with blind dating. Of course, most of them are looking for their Mr. Rights who are wealthy.
More often, the reason why many new female grads are choosing marriage the time they get out of school is all about the employment pressure. Due to the tough job market, many female grads feel great pressure to find a good job after graduation. They choose to pick rich men as their dates in the hope of living away from the work pressure. Besides, because the future as an adult seems scary, it feels so much easier to face things with a spouse, especially a rich one.
In my opinion, college students who are facing an uncertain future may see marriage as a way to make the transition from school to the society easier — but it’s not. There are all kinds of bad, bad reasons to get married, and this is one for them.

Nowadays there are many college students who choose to start their own undertakings instead of finding a job after graduation. However, why do so many college students take the way of starting their own undertakings? Firstly, college students are facing severe employment situations. Choices after Graduation
From the above table, we can see that the students of this university have three main choices after graduation. Of these choices, the students who have found a job only take up 50%. In contrast, students who pursue further study by taking the postgraduate entrance exam or going abroad have increased greatly than before, with the total percentage of 47%. Indeed, this phenomenon is also quite common in other universities.
The following factors can account for the choices of graduates. Above all, with the enrollment extension of universities, college graduates are facing the severe employment situation, which forces them to find another way out. Moreover, in information age, knowledge is updated very rapidly. Many college students find their knowledge is not enough for their future career. How to improve psychological health?
As is known to all, psychological health is as important as, if not more important than, physical health for a student during his/her growth. However, it’s quite worrying that nowadays some students are not quite psychologically healthy.
Undoubtedly, schools and universities should take great account in the responsibilities of students’ psychological health. Relevant
courses and activities should be introduced to students so that they would be more aware of the significance of psychological health and find appropriate ways to maintain and improve it. For example, there should be a psychological counseling hotline or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological aid.
