Comments about My Job
My job is to help manager deal with some trivial chores, such as, typing letters ,delivering documents, arranging meetings etc. But it counts a minute. I believe I’ve tried my best to make manager’s work go smoothly.

Report on :Suitability of Slovis Technology Corporation (STC) Introduction
The aim of this report is to access whether Slovis Technology Corporation would be a suitable supplier of electrical goods for us.
Findings
A recent visit to the company shows that its facilities are quite
old ,which results in a rather limited production capacity. Despite this ,STC produces an extensive range of high-quality electrical products including radios, CD players, cassette and video recorders .However, the out –of –date machinery means lengthy delivery time of up to three months. This situation may change when the planned modernization takes place next year . Conclusion
At present STC would not be suitable for large orders requiring quick delivery.
Recommendations
It is recommended that we remain in contact with STC and reconsider a supply contract once the factory modernization is completed.

商务英语写作实训总结
这学期我们国贸专业进行了为期五天的商务英语写作实训,通过杨玉蓉老师认真细致的讲解和传授商务英语写作的相关知识,我们收获很丰富。
本课程教学的目的与基本要求是:1、掌握商务英语写作的基本格式;
2、掌握商务英语写作中常用的基本表达方法;3. 培养学生商务英语应用的分析判断能力。这次商务英语实训的内容包括四部分,第一部分英语便函及简历,第二部分是学会询盘与请求的常用表达方法和写作特点,第三部分是掌握投诉与索赔的常用表达方法和写作特点,最后一部分是掌握理赔与拒绝的常用表达方法和写作特点。通过五天的实训,杨老师要求大家每天在批改网完成一个作文,这四个作文分别是:
一,备忘录(Memo),备忘录是商务便函的一种,会用英语写备忘录对于外贸专业的我们来说相当重要,,一个完整的备忘录一般包括六部分,首先是标题memo必不可少,第二是To,即备忘录及函电通知的接受者,第三部分是From,即备忘录的发送者,第四部是Date,备忘录的日期,具有格式要求,第五部分是Subject,备忘录的主题,必须简洁,使人一目了然,最后是备忘录的主体(Body),即备忘录通知的具体内容。
二,询盘与请求(Enquiry),询盘要说明询盘的内容,以及对具体商品,及其价格,数量,包装等方面提出要求,这方面相对来说比较容易,因为我们只需要将汉语翻译成英语,但翻译过程中涉及到很到外贸中的专业术语,对我们的英语能力来说是一次艰巨的考验。
三,投诉信及索赔函(Complains and Claims),投诉信及索赔函首先要开门见山提出问题,告诉对方哪里做错,之后陈述事情具体的经过,提供相关信息,,最后向被投诉方提出索赔,及陈述可以接受的赔偿方案。这类信函对于我们的今后维护自己的权利相当有用。
四,理赔函及拒绝(Refusal),这部分包括对对方提出索赔的拒绝,
然后挑出对方索赔依据的不足及提供证据表明不是自己的责任,最后向对方提出获取赔偿的建议以及表达未来继续合作的意愿。
商务英语写作实训已然结束,通过课堂上系统全面的学习,有英译汉,汉译英等方式,以及课后进行的写作,我们的写作能力得到了很大的提高,对外贸函电也有了基本大致的了解,函电对于外贸操作相当的重要,具有很多的原责和事项需要操作人员的注意,与此同时,我也意识到了自己在这方面的不足,不仅在于对相关专业术语的了解不深,而且我在英语写作中很多表达习惯及语法上都还有很多需要改进的地方,因此自己的英语水准还需要在今后的学习中不断地加强。
