In 2008, a devastating earthquake struck Wenchuan, a small town of Sichuan, china. Shortly after the disaster, many countries expressed their sympathy and humanity support by either donating large sum of money or delivering millions of tons of items, both of which served as a big relief in such a case. It was because of the helps from all over the world that the people who survived the earthquake could walk through the difficulties and recovered from the great pain quickly.

This event can be a good example to show the significance of global care. As the result of development of modern telecommunication, the geographic boundary has no longer been such a big barrier to limit the flow of information between countries. We suddenly become more informed of the issues of people from other countries. We can almost feel what other country’s people feel especially when they are in big troubles because we are the same race! Sympathy is a deeply rooted human nature.

     跟大家分享自己翻译的SAT作文的评分情况，因为它在我们作文分数的提高上也起着关键性的作用，只有了解了评分标准才会有一个质的飞跃。

      SAT作文Essay的满分为12分，考生要在25分钟时间内，依据试题要求，写出一篇完整的议论文。作文的字数没有硬性规定，但作文的篇幅约有一张半A4纸的大小，所以建议尽量多写。写满作文规定的篇幅，一般要用500至700个英语单词。        每一篇作文都要分别被两个评分人单独给出一个1-6的分数，这两个分数加起来就产生了一个2-12的分数，这些评分人都是一些有经验的和经过训练的高中和大学老师。

   

     如果这两个评分人的给出的分数相差大于一个分数点（很少见的情形），那么就会有第三个人来评分。

SAT备考：三阶段学习方法谈

今天我们以SAT的客观指标来谈一下SAT的学习方法。所谓的SAT的客观指标是指我们能得到的关于SAT的考试数量，考试难度，考试分数分布等客观性数据。众所周知，SAT考试每年可以考5次（美国本土6次），而且成绩有效性是2年，而且成绩具有各个部分最高分的加合性，同时我们分析考试后的难度分布表也可以得到每次考试总难度分布在150左右，然后每个部分难度也维持了基本的稳定性。

要保证以上所有这些数据在两年内可以比较，那么必须要体现SAT考试在每次考试的公平性。要使得SAT考试公平，那么必须有一套通用的稳定的比较准则，这套稳定的比较准则就使得SAT考试的出题者必须以某种稳定的出题法则来出每套试题，否则会影响稳定性，则会进一步影响公平性，从而影响SAT考试整个评价体系。既然这样，如果我们能够得到这套通用的比较法则，那么对于我们准备SAT考试显然是事半功倍的。

当然，这套法则显然不会明目张胆的出现在官方指南中，也不会出现在某本教刊杂志上，而是需要我们通过大量的做题和总结来得到的。即：多做题——归纳，总结出题准则——通过做题再检验总结出的这些法则，这至少是中国学生准备SAT考试的基本应对思路。在这里我们对上面的三个步骤都具体说明一下，此即SAT的学习的方法。

（一） 多做题

做什么题？怎么做？什么时间做？做几遍？这些都是每个准备这项考试的考生会问的问题。

做什么题？当然是做那些最能体现出题原则的题，所以建议考生一上来就接触SAT的官方指南和真题，因为相比起来，其他参考书顶多也就是二手货，即是另外一些考试辅导机构对机构的解读，与其曲径通幽，不如直如虎穴。其他参考书可以作为第三步检验的时候用，否则容易混听，尤其是对于时间的机会成本非常巨大的高中生来说。
