Book Review of “Thunderstorm” In the past,the general view of Fanyi's image has two: (1) from the traditional ethical perspective which is just the pe-rspective of incest, Fan Yi would be considered a bad woman.Sheoffends against a mother's sacred mission,launched a bedroom w-ith her titular son Zhou Ping.(2) from the perspective of classstruggle,Fanyi is considered to be a person who have the great-est "Thunderstorm" personality, often called "Thunderstorm" in-carnation,and at the same time she is regarded as a representa-tive figure of the anti-feudalism. She dares to love and hate, boldly and resolutely pursuing love and the right to be loved, pursuing individuality liberation, demanding to get rid of the feudal shackles and develop according to her nature. She longs to pursue and enjoy the love of life as an independent qualifi-cation person.In the book,her character has a strong spirit of resistance and a positive social significance.However I think that these analyses are a bit biased.We should understand Fanyi in the specific historical background and the family environme-nt. In my view, she is just a poor woman who always under the environmental repression.She should be a female as flowers justlike her name. Fan Yi is a complicated character.It's not at all inordin-ate to see her as the leading role in the whole book. She was born in the feudal family,

old-fashioned,but meanwhile,she also received some education. Due to the ideological education in the new era,she was able to accept new things quickly.her idea-ls is the coexistence of feudalism and the new period.Fanyi is an ordinary woman. In her heart, there is still the most pure aspiration for love. Because of the desire of love, she did not resist the temptation of cowardice stepson Zhou Ping. Thus she entered a incestuous road where there is no turning back. But her personality is more tough than Zhou Ping.Until the end,she never regretted her decision and behavior, and she can be resp-onsible for her own behavior. She loved Zhou Ping, so bold, so indulgent in the wildest fantasy,so she even begged Zhou Ping to take her away. Fanyi has old woman's character who is weak and bright,the demeanour of all the housewives in front of the servants,and deep class prejudice to Shi Ping,Si Feng.Out of Jealous of the love,she requested Lu mother to take away Si F-eng.She is supposed to be a beautiful woman,but Zhou Gong house which such a feudal and terrible family is enough to kill her innate beauty. Her husband is twenty years older than she,and he is a man who has very serious feudal ideas.He has been accustomed to o-rder and rebuke the family while Fanyi always think of equality,consultation.In such a specific historical condition,Fan Yi's thought is painful and conflict

ed, her life is lonely and pale.The power of the feudal society,along with Zhou Puyuan's absol-utely authority and dictatorship in the family—all of these make Fanyi's survival ideals are inconsistent with reality. Zhou Puyuan's family supreme idea and authoritarian spirit constant-ly tormented her.She was in the emptiness and pain for the past eighteen years.He gnawed at her heart,blunt her senses,and thefamily saw her as a madman.Zhou Puyuan forced her to drink the medicine, finally, not in the reason of treatment, but " As a mother,you should be a subordinate role model for kids".The me-dicine is bitter,but her heart is more bitter, and there is no medicine can cure. I quite understand why Fanyi finally like a villain appea-red on the ending,and stopped Zhou Ping running away with Si F-eng.It is not only the development of the plot,but a normal wo-man's behavior for love and hate.Everyone is selfish, but she is the victim of that family.She can not choose die or flee,th-erefore she wanted to keep Zhou Ping in this manner.At the last Fan Yi was really crazy,being crazy from dead life of eighteen years, dying from love death, dying from the tragical ending brought by this tragical family.

《雷雨》描写了一个由周朴园统治的封建大家庭。这个大家庭所潜在的人物关系一步步浮出水面，弱者在越来越巨大的压迫下终于爆发，致使看似平静的家再也不会平静了，用一场雨暗示了每一个人的心理。我想要更好的理解这篇话剧，写作背景是有必要考察的。

曹禺19xx年创作了他的处女作四幕话剧《雷雨》，曹禺出生于一个没落的封建家庭。青少年时代就目睹了半封建半殖民地中国社会的黑暗现实，内心充斥着强烈的反抗情绪，经过几年酝酿、构思，19xx年在清华大学四年级时，完成了他的处女作《雷雨》。他自己说道：“《雷雨》是在‘没有太阳的日子里的产物’，那个时候，我是想反抗的。因陷于旧社会的昏暗、腐恶，我不甘模棱地活下去，所以我才拿起笔。《雷雨》是我的第一声呻吟，或许是一声呼喊。”又说：“写《雷雨》是一种情感的迫切的需要，仿佛有一种情感的汹涌的流来推动我，我在发泄着被压抑的愤懑，毁谤着中国的家庭和社会。”

在《雷雨》中，共有周朴园、蘩漪、侍萍、周萍、四凤、周冲、鲁大海、鲁贵八个人物。其中周朴园，蘩漪，侍萍可以说是同一代人，其中让我感触较深的是“蘩漪”、“周萍”、以及“侍萍”这三个这个角色。

侍萍是封建统治下女性地位低下的代表，那个时候男的可以三妻四妾，而女的就只能忍受这种不平等，由于她的出身卑微，她就注定不能进入有头有脸的周家大门，被周朴园这个封建统治者抛弃，甚至连自己的孩子都不能亲自抚养。她虽然身份卑微，但是她却有着自己的可贵之处，她正直，善良。在周公馆饱受屈辱的她终于使她认清了周朴园的本性，勇敢的控诉了周朴园的罪行，她撕毁了5000元的支票。她唯一的要求仅仅是“见见我的萍儿”，此刻她不仅是伟大的母亲也是一位坚强的女性。她终于由一个无知幼稚的侍女成为一个有骨气，有尊严的女人。她始终相信人各有命，相信自己的宿命终结于此，她也许没有想要改变自己命运的想法，但是她的沉默同样给了我们警示：没有任何反抗的承受外来的欺辱终究会使自己走向灭亡，我们要为自己活，需要适时的反抗，不要一味的只是承受。她的反抗应该是30年前被周朴园赶出周公馆那一刻就开始，如果她那样做了，也许她的生活又会是另外一番摸样，也许会少了下一代人的悲剧。但我们明白也有一种可能，如果她的反抗失败了呢?那也没有什么，如果我们可以想想人一生的追求在哪儿也许这个问题我们便会想通了。

繁漪是新时代女性的代表，她具有反抗精神，但同时她又存留了封建思想。从她所处时代和家庭教养进行分析，也不难看出繁漪性格上的两重性，曹禺先生曾说：“繁漪是五四以后解放的资产阶级女性。”在繁漪的舞台指示中他又说：“她是一个旧式女人，有她的文弱、她的哀静、她的明慧。”显然，在繁漪这个追求个性解放的资产阶级女性身上还带有非常浓厚的封建色彩。繁漪上过一点私塾受过一点教育。不仅使她具有了较高的文化水平，丰富了她的感情，开阔了她的精神世界，更重要的是使她具有了较易接受新事、新思想的条件，所以当资产阶级革命的浪潮掀起以后，受到资产阶级个性解放思想的影响，她不会像侍萍一样甘于忍受宿命，她想反抗，她不想是一具行尸走肉，她要力图做一个真正活着的人”。她追求的是人格的独立和思想的解放。从作者的描写中我感觉得到繁漪的每次出场都让人觉得冷的瘆人，她安静忧郁，虽然她在周家位居二太太，但是她没有自由，什么都要听从周朴园的摆布，处处受周朴园的谴责，周朴园用尽手段逼她吃药。周朴园对她的压迫使他彻底对这个看似和谐的家绝望，她无处寄托自己的情

愫，只能将自己的这份心情寄托在周萍身上，在这一点上那我个人觉得她很不理性，而偏偏周萍又身性软弱，导致了她的悲剧。

周萍，周家的大少爷侍萍和周朴园所生，他的感情让人心疼，一个是自己的长辈一个是自己同母异父的妹妹，这让本来身性软弱的他痛不欲生。他先对繁漪的“爱”让他内心煎熬，当繁漪大胆回应的时候，他的懦弱使他退缩，表面是他害怕自己的父亲实质他该怕的是一种制度，他不能违背父亲为这个家制订的种种制度，在封建制度的“权威”下，他退缩了他放弃了对繁漪的“爱”。我想他对繁漪的爱肯定不是男女之间最纯真的爱情，那是因为她从小没有亲生母亲在自己身边，得不到女性细微的关爱，另外是他在这样的家庭很是压抑，一方面他不能和自己的父亲诉说自己的心思想法因为那是违背父亲的，另一方面他还要保持着对父亲的那份敬畏和服从，在这种种因素的促使下，他才会产生这种畸形的爱。而当他遇到四萍时，他内心的情愫被触动了，他看到了他一直渴望的东西，那就是纯真，活波。他一位自己找到了感情的寄托，殊不知这是更大的痛苦开始。他两次失败的“爱情”使他终于不堪重负，选择结束了自己的生命。

《雷雨》中每个人物都各有特点，周公馆的压抑沉闷让每一个人都极为想去逃离这个阴森森的监牢，以周萍和蘩漪为代表，看似平静的湖面其实早已起了涟漪，早在30年前就埋下了这个苦果，只是让下一代的人去承受这些是不公的，但那个时代造就了这些，处处充满着不公道，处处充满着压迫，连家庭都如此，更何况是整个社会整个时代呢？我想这样的结局绝对不会是周朴园想看到的，他以为自己将这个大家庭治理的井井有条，殊不知他已经禁锢不了每个人的思想，没有人在会像侍萍那样甘于忍受宿命。通过这个家庭的破灭，告诉了我们周朴园统治的破灭，同时了也暗示了统治阶级破灭的必然性，因为时代在发展，我们的思想也在发展，也许人们的思想会被禁锢，但那只是短暂的，绝对不会是永远。
