The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money. The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

如何写好英文演讲稿

Writing a speech is in many ways like writing a paper, except that there is no penalty for spelling and punctuation errors. Try not to use words you are not comfortable pronouncing or don't know the meaning of because it can lead to a less fluently delivered speech.

如何学好英语

大家都知道，生活在21世纪的年轻人掌握一门外语是十分重要的，尤其是英语。如何学好英语，提高英语水平，是当前很多中学生困惑的问题。其实，学好英语并不是一件难事，关键要有一个好的学习方法。

以下是我在学习英语是经常采用的学习方法，希望你们可以采纳：

背英语单词时，我常常把一些记不住的英文单词写在便利贴上，贴在家里各处，镜子、书架、门口、书桌上……在早晨洗脸刷牙的时候就看看，尽量不浪费一天当中记忆里最好的时间。或者是把英语单词写在小本子上，上下学时可以边走边看。在记忆的时候，要努力激励自己一定可以背下来，并且规定好多长时间复习一次，在背词汇表的时候，对于已掌握的，可以掠过去不看；对于那些生词，可以采取以下策略。以四个为一组，对于连续的四个生词反复多次进行记忆，直到你在遮住右半边只看英文的情况下能够立即说出其对应的中文含义。然后再背下面四个生词。当背了5组(20个词)后，再从头把这20个词检查一遍，

对于那些记不住的词，再在纸上抄几遍，以加强记忆。这样才不会让自己的词汇量有所短缺。

如果你想补充一下你的课外词汇量，就可以在做阅读题的时候，遇到不认识的单词先做记号，并猜测他们的意思，等到把全文看完后再从字典上把他们的意思找出来，具体的做法是找一本笔记本，把他的一页从中间对折，然后从字典上把英汉意思抄上去，英语单词或词组抄在左边，汉语意思抄在右边，然后对所有的词汇背三遍，先汉英对照背一边，然后分别只看英文或汉语解释背一遍。这种方法记忆的量大而且比较牢靠。

还有一些同学是在英语听力和口语这方面比较弱，我个人认为，语音是一门语言的基础，只有学好发音，正确的读出来，才会听得懂对方在说什么。在我看来，看英文电影是个练口语和听力的很好的途径。所以，有机会就看几部好的英文电影，把自己融入英语的世界里，随着时间的流逝，你会看到成绩的。

上课要认真听讲，不走思或尽量少走思。不要自以为是，要虚心向老师学习。不要以为老师讲得简单而放弃听讲，如果真出现这种情况可以当成是复习、巩固。尽量与

英语学习六原则 英语学习应遵循以下六大原则。这些原则都是"常识"性的。正如美国总统林肯所说：一个人必须依据语言、逻辑和简单的常识来决定问题和建立自己的行动计划。

2、增加兴趣。 3、语言朗朗上口。 4、易于学以致用。 但是很多中国学生对简单的语言往往不屑一顾，只求理解而不去尝试着使用自己学到的东西。中国学生在学英语中最喜欢追求一个字——"难"。尽管学了很多难的东西，却不会用。而事实上，简单的东西如能灵活、准确地使用才是真正重要的。

比如从口语来说，人们并不是看一个人会说多么难的单词，关键在于看他能否熟练运用最简单的单词、句型、语法来表达情感、思想。英语国家人们日常生活的交流是通过有限数量的单词和简单的句型来完成的。

Plain English（简洁英语）在英语国家已成为趋势：即在说或写英文时都力求简单。而中国学生尽管学了很多难词，复杂的结构，但就连用简单词和结构来表达思想都做不到；有时用了很大的词，一方面不妥，再者也很难让别人明白。其实当你透彻理解英语中的"小词"，"简单表达方式"时，才能熟练地用简单英语交际。

Good afternoon, my dear teachers and friends,

Even now I can still see a very special picture in my mind now. I was taking part in the 800-meter race. To be honest, it was not hard at first. I felt energetic and confident. We were all pushing on to the finishing line. One minute, two minutes,… Terrible!~ One of the athletes was half the lap ahead of me. So tired and worried I was that my feet could not move any further. ―Give up?‖ A low voice came from the bottom of my heart. At the same time I could feel something shining. My friends and even my Mom and Dad were watching and shouting so loud, ―Come on! Never give up!‖ Strangely, my body kept going. Anyhow I would finish the competition. And I made it.
