We should try our best to find hope. So today, I am honored to stand here to share my opinion with you---- Let‘s say NO to Give UP.
Even now I can still see a very special picture in my mind now. I was taking part in the 800-meter race. To be honest, it was not hard at first. I felt energetic and confident. We were all pushing on to the finishing line. One minute, two minutes,… Terrible!~ One of the athletes was half the lap ahead of me. So tired and worried I was that my feet could not move any further. ―Give up?‖ A low voice came from the bottom of my heart. At the same time I could feel something shining. My friends and even my Mom and Dad were watching and shouting so loud, ―Come on! Never give up!‖ Strangely, my body kept going. Anyhow I would finish the competition. And I made it.
What about you? When meeting any difficulty, you can not even see any hope at that moment, will you give up? No, let‘s say NO to GIVE UP.

My favourite season
My favourite season is spring.
Everything is very lively in the spring. The flowers are blooming, the trees are growing and the grass is turning green. I like lying on the grass and enjoy the sun shine in the park in the spring. We also can fly a kite, have a picnic, go on a trip or climb the mountain, but I don‘t like to do those things, because they will make me feel tired. Some people like to go to the countryside, however I don‘t think it is a good place to go for a rest. I don‘t like the other season, because they are not very warm: summer is too hot, winter is too cold. While autumn is cool, it isn‘t very beautiful.
Last year, I went to the Slender West Lake in Yang Zhou. First we took a boat to travel down the lake, we saw the Qiong flowers on the bank, and they were very beautiful. Then we visited the
Five Kiosks Bridge, there were five kiosks on the bridge, and every kiosk has a long history. We sit in the kiosk and took some photos. Last we went to the Fishing Platform. Why do people call it ?Fishing Platform‘? Because the emperor called ?Qian Long‘ in Qing Dynasty visited it. We also fished in it. We had a good time in Yang Zhou.
Anyway, my favourite season is spring.

In my 19 years of life, there have been many memories .University days are the most wonderful part of them. I can never forget the day when I stepped into my university. I was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.
The classes given by the teachers are excellent.I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. Frankly speaking, at first I had some difficulty following the teachers. However, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself.
Last summer I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. A Kentucky Fried Chichen restonsirant offered me a part-time job.At the beginning I was belittled by my colleagues.But they were really surprised when I comunicated with foreign customers in English soomthly,they began to look at me with respectful eyes.
I also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. So I often take part in activities concerning public welfare. Such as I went to a primary school with my classmates. We taught the kids there who could not afford school.I was deeply impressed by their eagerness to learn.
Besides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. I do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. We also write a play and put it on in our spare time.
Campus life is the most splendid time. But different people have different choices. The majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding. But there are indeed some students still under ignorance. They gather together for eating, drinking or playing cards. They're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. They forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland.

food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.

You say ‖Beijing Duck‖? Yeah, right you are! We‘ll come back to the center of Beijing, and we‘ll have dinner at ―Quanjude‖ restaurant. You can enjoy the most delicious Chinese food—Beijing Duck, and you must be very pleased to hear this! Then I‘ll show you around the Summer Palace. It‘s the royal garden for the emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty to pass the hot summers.

At the same time, during the journey of moving from one place of interest to another, we won‘t miss having a glance of Beijing‘s modern civilization. The skyscrapers, beautiful avenues and advanced facilities must also catch your eyes. And we‘ll also have a chance to experience Beijing‘s fast development in person. We‘ll do some shopping at the shopping center near the Olympics Village. You can buy everything there of course except guns and drugs which are seriously forbidden in China. To see is to believe. 3 ．英语演讲稿的基本组成部分
从大的方面看，英语演讲词实际上是属于一种特殊的说明文或议论文，其基本组成部分是：
1) 开始时对听众的称呼语
最常用的是 Ladies and gentlemen ，也可根据不同情况，选用 Fellow students, Distinguished guests, Mr Chairman, Honorable Judges( 评委 ) 等等。
2) 提出论题
由于演讲的时间限制，必须开门见山，提出论题。提出论题的方法有各种各样，但最生动，最能引起注意的是用举例法。比如：你要呼吁大家关心贫穷地区的孩子，你可以用亲眼看到的或者收集到的那些贫穷孩子多么需要帮助的实例开始。另外，用具体的统计数据也是一个有效的引出论题的方法，比如：你要谈遵守交通规则的话题，你可以从举一系列有关车辆、车祸等的数据开始。
3) 论证
对提出的论题，不可主观地妄下结论，而要进行客观的论证。这是演讲中最需要下功夫的部分。关键是要把道理讲清楚。常见的论证方法有举例法、因果法、对比法等等，可参见英语议论文的有关章节。
4) 结论
结论要简明扼要，以给听众留下深刻印象。
5) 结尾
结尾要简洁，不要拉拉扯扯，说个没完。特别是不要受汉语影响，说些类似―准备不足，请谅解‖，―请批评指正‖这样的废话。最普通的结尾就是： Thank you very much for your attention 。
4 ．英语演讲稿的语言特征
1) 多用实词，多用短句，少用结构复杂的长句
在英语演讲中， and, but, so, then 等虚词要尽量少用， that, which 等词引导的定语从句也只会使句子结构变得复杂，而使听众难以跟上演讲者的思路，从而影响演讲的效果。相反，多使用实词，短句，可使得演讲内容更清晰，气势更磅礴。
2) 演讲要注意使用各种修辞手法，增加演讲的感染力和气势。英语演讲中常用的修辞手法有：渐进 (climax) 、对照 (antithesis) 、排比 (parallelism) 、警句 (epigram) 等等，例如： That government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth ． ( 排比 )
这个民有、民治、民享的国家将不会从地球上消失。
United, there is little we can not do; divided, there is little we can do ． ( 对照 )
团结，我们便将无所不能；分裂，我们则会一事无成。

One morning there was a little penny just sitting on her bed. It was a beautiful morning and the sun was shining brightly. There was no reason to be sad. But this little penny was. She was sad because she had no friends. All of her friends were mean to her. So her mother told her to go and find better friends.
Well this very happy morning the penny, whose name was Pretty, went along looking for other pennies to play with. Once she saw a few pennies but a human who was about to spend them on candy picked them up, so she kept looking until she saw five other pennies playing.
"Hi. My name is Pretty. Can I play with you?" she said.
"NO! Why would we want to play with a penny like you? Your name is so untrue! You are not pretty at all!" they replied.
Pretty Penny knew this was untrue because all the boys in school liked her, so she went on her way still very upset but desperate to find friends.
Soon she came to a lake where she saw three pennies swimming.
"Hello," she said, "My name is Pretty. Pretty Penny. Can I play with you?"
"Sure!" they said.
"My name is Penelope Penny," said the first penny.
"I am Paula Penny. And this is my sister Polly," another said.
"Hi, nice to meet you," Polly said.
"Nice to meet you too," Pretty replied. "What are we playing?"
So the pennies played for hours until it grew very dark and time for dinner so Polly and Paula went to their home, and Penelope and Pretty went to theirs'.
Penelope lived very close to Pretty so they walked home together talking about their families and what they liked to do when they were out of school. When they came to Penelope's small and joyful home, Pretty waved goodbye and said, "See you and the rest tomorrow!"
"Yes. Let's meet by the farm!" Penelope replied.
So off Pretty went to her own joyful house to tell her parents about her new
friends.
"Mom! Dad! You won't believe what happened today! I met three new friends. Their names are Penelope, Paula and Polly. Polly and Paula are sisters. And Penelope lives a few blocks away on Wallet Street. I told her we live on Purse Street and to come over sometime. Tomorrow we are meeting at the farm!" Pretty said.
"Good job sweetie," said Dad. "We are very proud of you for making new pennies. We knew you could find better penny friends. Now go eat your dinner, Mom made a special roast of dollar tonight."
