Unit 1 : 1. Satire:

20xx年是我工作的第二年。这一年相对去年来说,我对教学和教育工作有进一步的认识,自己的能力和心理素质得到了进一步地提高,在院领导和同事的帮助下,拓宽了自己的专业知识,也承担了一些新的教学任务,总体上较好地完成了这一年的工作任务。回顾前期的工作,主要成绩如下:

一、解放思想、与时俱进、不断提高理论水平

我在教学之余,认真学习马克思主义邓小平理论和三个代表精神,认真贯彻执行党的路线、方针和政策;深入地学习有关高校教师师德方面的法规,自觉修炼“师德”这门必修课;学习和收集国内外近一年来的新英语教学理论和知识。积极参加学校组织的各项政治学习和业务活动,遵纪守法,团结同志。忠诚党的教育事业,为人师表,教书育人。

二、端正心态、求真务、认真搞好本质工作

本学期主要继续担任《新编大学英语》的教学。这是我第一次带这《新编大学英语III》门课,这次除了认真备好课外,继续不断扩展英语语言文化相关的课外知识,争取在讲好课文本身的同时,给学生介绍有关英语语言文化的基础知识。并且充分利用网络的资源,在课件上补充了一些图片、音频、影视等旨在提高学生兴趣的资料,丰富了教学的内容,使得教学内容更直观。每节课布置作业,坚持批改,及时了解学生听课的情况。针对大二学生要通过大学英语四级的现实,我在课堂和课外作业补充了大量的四级做题技巧、经验,并督促、批改学生四级相关练习的作业,使得学生应试四级考试的能力得到了一定的提高。对问题比较集中的地方重点讲解,比较圆满地完成了教学任务。

但是教学过程中仍然有许多不足之处。一方面自己的专业知识和教授四级备考经验比较有限,在讲授四级备考相关知识中不能做到深入和精确,另一方面在教学进度和学生所要求的教学速度上未找到合适的平衡点。这些问题是在新学年中我要努力攻克的,希望能在同事帮助下和自己的努力下使得大学英语的教学更上一个台阶。

在公选课的教学中,我深刻地体会到了和上大学英语课的不同。大学英语的小班教学需要老师及时了解学生学习的反馈情况,而公选课则是大班上课,强调的是学生对说英语国家文化、社会背景、为人处事方式、思维习惯、影视中表达的观念和影视英语的了解,课堂纪律不如小班教学那么好控制。所以虽然担任的都是英语课的教学,但是要因材施教,学会在不同的课程中转换角色,以期达到良好的教学效果;总体来说,作为一名大学英语老师,在教学上不能浅尝辄止,要不断探索新的教学方法,了解学生的心理状态,努力提高教学水平。

三、开拓进取、敢于创新、坚持完成科研任务

撰写论文《×××》,于20xx年上半年出版。

20xx年我将牢记学校“×××”的校训,继续认真做好教学工作,为学院的发展贡献自己的一份力量。
