Personal Statement

I’m obsessed with archaeology and love reading any historical records. When I was in infant, my father had told me the mystery stories. “You should experience the splendid culture, you may love It.” my father guaranteed.

In fact, I am curious about the facts which buried under the soil or ruins. Next, I want to learn human-beings original life style and abundant culture. In addition, I want to discover what the differences between the ancient and modern age are. I want to pursuit the spirit when I obtain the way I survive in the society. Being strong-willed enough to confronted with any troubles I will meet during my study. Before my college starting, I make a decision to satisfy my desire of history. For this reason, I choose literature English as major. As far as I’m concerned, English is a dispensable to archaeology. Therefore, it’s necessary to make full preparation when I begin to pursuit my dream. Taking many factors into consideration I work for my ideal university.

Undoubtedly, the University of Oxford’s Institute of Scientific Archaeology is my ideal college. What’s more, I would like to devote my entire energy to my research. In my opinion, Oxford University has advantages over any other

schools in the world. No matter what the professors had discovered, they can be the apiculate achievements in some territory. According to those data reduction which be contributed to most of my spare time, I choose the college to become my dream. Owing to its library, I have access to the ample historical documents. It’s said that the Oxford University has the second biggest library in the UK, because each publishing house has to donate their books to the library. Except my ideal school, it is also made up of many other topping schools which have centuries-old history in Oxford. When it comes to the topic of the environment, I can’t control my vibrant imagination and exciting moods. Actually, when and where I am tired out, I force myself to imagine the interesting life in Oxford and assume that I am enjoying the beautiful scenery. In the deep of my heart, I encourage myself day by day.

There is no denying that the Oxford University has the most thorough organization. Even tough my major is not the best domain in there; it must be the authority in its field. Finally, the several famous museums are the main attraction to me including Ashmolean museum and British museum.

One of them is the first museum in the UK; the other is the biggest museum in Britain. As a consequence, they have laid

a solid foundation for the Oxford University’s status in education field. Nowadays, my ideal major is not so popular in contemporary society. However people who know little about have prejudice on it. Therefore it is important to choose a celebrated university at the corner of my life. Admittedly, the University of Oxford’s Institute of Scientific Archaeology is one of the most famed than other colleges in the world. At the beginning I was afraid of the lonely life when I decided to go for the further study aboard. To live in a strange country where completely different form is you own motherland, it is uncomfortable to adapt for everyone. Hence I lost my initial mind.

My father has told me a story. When you travel aboard for any amount of time you must have faith that you will find your way, communicate, and learn something worth more than the frequent flyer miles. More often than not, you do. And more often than not, it is because someone with local knowledge takes you into their life and teaches you’. Whatever I have experienced, it is my experience. Mostly I should learn from them and value them as the private treasure. Introducing oneself is always an entertaining thing to test how much do you know about yourself. Firstly, I am 20 years old now and am an undergraduate. I also

major in English during my four years in university. To some degree, my major is beneficial to my further study lead to the result that I am superior to others who want to compete with me. It is convenient for me to use foreign language when I need to read the historical documents. Form another perspective; I correspond with diathesis requirement to be an archaeologist such as; I am able to bear the aloneness. Secondly, I can be calm down even face with the troubles. When dealing with that hard task, I am always patient and careful. Last but most important thing is I love history and prepare to devote my self to historical research. Of course, I enjoy the travel when we go for the ruins or the mastaba. Naturally many people are holding the skeptical attitude that this work is not suitable for girls. Personally, sometimes girls are braver than boys. Especially, girls’ comprehensive quality takes advantages over boys in archaeology on account of patience and carefulness. On the basis of my effort and knowledge, I have the confidence to get the achievement in my field. In a world, I am desperate to widen my horizon and will catch the opportunity firmly. Being loyal to my decision and making contributions to the society, I will focus my time and energy to my work.
