当时间变成货币，交易的就是生命

故事发生在一个未知的未来世界，通过基因技术改造过的人类已经可以完全控制住身体上的老化，也就是说，在未来的某个世界，人类可以完全的实现长生不老。

那么，这样的世界是如何运行的呢？影片中给出了一些设定：在这个世界里，人们自然生长到25周岁的时候就停止成长和衰老；在25岁之后，人们只有一年的时间可以用来自来生长；时间，或者可以理解为寿命，成为社会里唯一的流通交易媒介，就相当于我们现在使用的货币；在25之后，人们可以获得和使用时间来进行购买和其他交易；每个人都有一个表，表中有时间，生命就不停止，表中时间清零，生命就停止；时间可以储存在每个人身上，也可以储存在容器里，两者可以相互流通。

也就是说，当人们成长到25岁之后，就只有一年的时间可以支配，想要存活下去，就想办法获得时间，只要表中时间不减为零，就能长寿，为了获取时间，并且维持日常的开销，人们就可以去工作，去乞讨，或者去抢劫别人的时间。

在这个世界里，分成不同的好多时区，不同阶层的人居住在不同的时区里，最富裕的人住在最好的时区里，就是影片中的格林尼治时区，这些富人生来就享有几乎无穷无尽的时间，只要不发生意外就可以长生不老。而住在最底层的时区里的贫民们，为了能够活下去必须不断的工作获得时间，随时面临着时间用尽失去生命的危险。

为什么会有这样的区分呢？因为假设整个社会的资源是固定的或者按照一定的速度增加的，不断有人长生不老同时不断有新的生命出生，这就必然导致每个人所分配的资源越来越少，这样就与长生不老相矛盾，所以为了使一小部分富人能够长生不老，就必须提高那些贫民的生活成本，加速他们的死亡速度，保证资源在富人手里的集中，这也就是影片中贫民时区不断增加的贷款利率和不断增加的物价，造成的结果就是穷人不断的死亡，富人继续长寿。

影片的男主人公就是生活在一个贫民时区，他的妈妈就是因为付不起隔一天就增长了一倍的公共汽车费用之后，未能在时间清零之前跑回男主人公那里而死去了。而男主人公意外获得一个富人的赠送，并且明白了时间的分配和流通的不公平，走上了一条反抗银行，对抗时间保护者，并且为所有人找回公平生存权利的道路。而影片的女主人公则是富人银行家的女儿，在一次冲突中成为男主人公的人质之后，被男主人公所感动，也跟随男主人公一起，反抗自己的银行家父亲，成为一对抢劫银行，劫富济贫的亡命鸳鸯。

整个故事在科幻的外衣之下，描绘了一个动人的爱情故事，两颗为全人类谋福祉的英雄主义的你心，通过自己的努力，可以打破不公平的宿命，追寻一个更加公平、平等的生存环境。

然后影片不仅仅只为了讲述一个动人的故事，尤其是这样的一部科幻类的电影，往往就是用来反射和讽刺当今社会的一些不美好的地方，通过影片，我们可以看到很多，得到很多。

虽然影片讲述的是一个未来的时间，但是我们依然发现这个世界遵守的竞争原则和经济原则和我们现在的世界是一模一样的，影片中描绘的人类社会与我们现在的社会又是如此的类似，那些时区的划分就像我们现在对富人区贫民区的区分一样，影片中的富人生来就富贵，穷人生来就该受剥削，我们现今的社会不也是充斥着这样的场景么，我们同样的也在不断的重申人人生而平等的理念，也从来不曾停止过对自由公平平等的生存环境的追求，这一切，是电影，更是现实。

也许有人觉得，影片中的时间或许是总量固定只能流通的，而现实中的钞票却是可以无限印刷的，其实，这是一个很简单的经济学常识，最算钞票可以印得很多很多，但是维持金融稳定的黄金却是一定的并且增长缓慢的，通过钞票能买到的东西也是有一定数量且有一定增长数量的，一旦钞票大规模增加印刷发行，就一定会引起通货膨胀，导致的结果就是货币的贬值，能买一盒火柴的一百元又比能买一斤大米的一元钱珍贵到哪里去呢？

所以说，一旦社会资源集中在少部分人手里，大部分的穷人就只能成为剥削的对象，没有了平等的地位，也没有了平等的竞争的权利，所以我们就要去争取这种平等，打破这样的一个体制，这也就是电影里男女主人公所做的事情。

然后，电影毕竟只有短短不到两个小时的时间，还有一些东西是电影没能告诉我们的。试想一下，男女主人公成功的破坏了这样的体制之后，这个世界会变成什么样的呢？也许他们代表了一种浪漫的理想主义，但是我们知道世界的运行需要一定的规则和控制，失去了规则和控制，世界将会变得怎样，是变得更加美好吗？不见得。会变的更加残酷呢？很有可能，失去了规则和控制的人们，因为资源数量的一定和人口的不断增长，必然会导致人均资源供应的不足，也就会导致更加残酷的竞争，为了生存的竞争是无比残酷的，整个世界将会充满鲜血和战争，胜利的一方生存下去，失败的一方永远消失，整个世界将变得一片混乱，直到下一个规则和控制的诞生，或者直到最后一个人类的死去，当然，影片没有办法告诉我们。
