Flipped (2001)，A film adaptation from a young adult novel with the same name by Wendelin Van Draanen，a children-story writer.In the film Juli, The heroine is a very unusual little schoolgirl who is already ready for love even when she is only seven years old. Juli is always dangling after Bryce ，her new neighbor boy， with passionate and bold behavior，which scared Bryce to the extent that he hides from her like from a plague. Bryce's father doesn’t like Juli either，even more he could not bear Juli’s father who is a amateur painter，and still laugh at their weed-patch and ugly yard. Anyway, Juli’s family is disturbed in the neighborhood，Juli is really a little case，because she was put on the front page by local newspaper，owing to her stopping the neighbors to cut off a tree, when she was very young.

however such a little pest，has beautiful appearance，lovely head of long chestnut hair and big eyes as blue as lake.Her smiling is just like the thawing ice-cream in summer.It is inconceivable that Juli like a Sweet Princess would run about after a buster。Of course at the very start the film explain the reason why Juli would fall love in with Bryce. Even though, as far as I am concerned, the reason did not seem so convincing. However，the theme is centered around the age of Innocence and unripe first love. However from my point of view the most interesting thing is the alternating and comparing narrative method. Through employing the narrative method we could clearly understand that there so much differences contradictions and even great gulfs between boys and girls as for the

same world. No wonder we will say that the one is from the Venus and the other is from the Mars. It is the very discrepancy that adds a lot of comic material to the story ，deepen the humorous atmosphere. So the plenty of something serious and solemn emerges with a heartily appearance moving the audience silently.

As they grow older Juli’s and Bryce’s lives are slowly and subtly changing. The angle that they treat each other and the entire world is changing unobtrusively and imperceptibly. In the process Bryce’s grandfather chart is one of the key men in the story, he is the first person helping Bryce to discover the brightness of Juli. He voluntarily helps Juli repair the yard build the fences without explaining or saying. He stepped forward when Bryce’s father laughed at Juli’s retarded uncle.—I really love the old man.

However I love Juli’s father more. He gives his daughter an eternal parasol tree after the world took away Juli’s big tree. He tries his best to look after his retarded brother even through he lives a poor life. The most important thing is that he has his daughter realize that poverty is not the most terrible thing, he has Juli feel proud of his family. He has cultivated the most beautiful spring scene in man's world.
