A． 英译汉
1. 英译汉部分包括三种题型：1）5个单句翻译；2）短文翻译；3）一篇文章中5个划线句子的翻译。
2. 英译汉的翻译考试标准为：1) 译文要求忠实原文，2) 表达基本正确, 3) 无重大语言错误。
3. 采取以下英译汉步骤：1) 分析句子及结构，确定该句的主语、谓语、定语等成份。
2）选择正确的词语，注意搭配关系；3）组词造句；4）检查。
4.需要注意的问题有：
1) 单词问题：有一些考生可能不是很熟悉或忘记了翻译部分的关键词和词组。如，(19xx年) “亚裔美国人”，很多考生并没有翻译出来（答案：Americans of Asian descent or American-Asians）。对“作出了杰出的贡献”，(make outstanding contributions to)。
2) 结构问题：有的考生在比较复杂的英语结构上感到非常棘手。由于没有搞清楚句子成份之间的语法关系，造成理解上的错误。如：(19xx年)“有一项调查发现，不吸烟的妇女，如果在吸烟的家庭环境中生活40年或更长的时间，那么就有加倍患肺癌的危险。”
3) 习惯表达问题：一些固定搭配、习惯表达方式等都会造成翻译上的障碍。
4) 拼写错误。拼写是考生比较普遍的一个问题。如：(19xx年)“… 患肺癌的危险”。10名考生中，大约50％拼写错“danger”这个词。
5) 时态错误。由于考生忙于选择英语词语以及组织相应的英文句子，在忙乱中很容易忽视，句子中的时态。比较严重的是第三人称动词后面不加“s”，或应该用完成时、过去时时用了一般时态等。如：(19xx年) “有一项调查发现…”，One investigation find that… 。应该是“One investigation finds that …”。

通常情况下，英译汉的翻译考试标准为：译文必须忠实原文的思想内容，并尽可能地保持其风格。同时译文应该通顺，语言规范。
英汉翻译一般分为三个阶段，即理解阶段、表达阶段和校对阶段。在这一过程中，理解是表达的前提，没有正确的理解就谈不上确切的表达；而在作表达时，又可能帮助我们进一步加深对文字的理解；校对则是为了保证译文能准确无误地表达出对原文的内容。
对于英译汉我们可以采取以下步骤：
1) 首先了解该句的整体内容，把握该段的中心思想和主要事实。
2) 分析该句的逻辑关系以及该句自身的结构。确定该句的主语、谓语、定语等成份。在此基础上，对语言现象本身和语言之外隐含的信息加以综合归纳。
