Lady Catherine, a poor mother
“Pride and Prejudice” is a movie about love. Well, Lady Catherine impressed me very much in this play. As a mother, she is admiring.
She has much money and connections. For the sake of that, she looks down upon everything, especially the poor. Therefore, she is extremely disgusted with Elizabeth’s arrival. In fact, she has nothing that deserve us to like her. However, when talking about her daughter, she is always kind and merciful. She loves her daughter as most mothers do. Maybe why she asks Elizabeth to play the piano is just because of the regret to Anne. Moreover, she is proud of her daughter. She thinks that Anne is perfect expect healthy. Then when heard of Elizabeth and Darcy have met each other, she has a glimpse at Elizabeth with a meaningful eye contact. Undoubtly, she has been conscious of the affection between Elizabeth and Darcy. So she shouted insults at Elizabeth as she can. This is the nature of a mother. They always want to tidy all the obstacles out for their child. She knows that Darcy is a perfect choice for Anne’s husband. She has almost been sure of Darcy being her son- in- law without Elizabeth’s appearance. In this case, we can understand why she resents Elizabeth so much.
Months later, lady Catherine hears about the story of Elizabeth and Darcy. To ensure that, she go to the town regardless of the storm and heavy rain. The plot is unforgettable for me. Lady Catherine looks dirty and untidy. She looks like an another woman compared with the former image, just a mother struggling for baby’s happiness. Well , the Catherine in this screen is so touching. Of course, she ends up with a failing ending. Lady Catherine is so overbearing at first, who loses her own dignity just for daughter’s happiness ultimately.
Well, at last what I want to say is that, although Lady Catherine is not
accepted by most of us, in my eyes, she is a both poor and great mother as well.

My Reflection on Pride and Prejudice
the overall summary
The story Pride and Prejudice was grounded on the village life in England of the nineteen century.
Elizabeth, who's also named Lizzie, was born in a civilian-class family but loved by the young rich man,Mr.Darcy. Mr.Darcy overcame the concept of family status and proposed to Lizzie. However, he was turned down because Lizzie was misled by Mr. Wickham.Fortunately, the misunderstandings was cleared up soon.Afterwards, Mr. Darcy helped the Bennet to solve the problem created by Lidia and Wickham, who eloped and damaged the family’s reputation.
Pride and Prejudice
Eventually,Mr. Darcy won Lizzie’s heart. And Lizzie’s friend, Charlotte, got married with Mr. Colins and gained her ideal life. Moreover, Jane,Lizzie’s sister, won her own happiness with Mr. Bingley in the end, too.
Through the marriages of four middle-class girls, the author showed us this class’s sense of love and marriage: it’s wrong to get married just for possession and positon, however, it’s also stupid to get married without thinking of possession,or nothingelse.

Pride and Prejudice
After reading the story Pride and Prejudice, I can see that the story mainly centers on four marriages of Lezzie’s, Jane’s, Lidia’s and Charlotte’s.The four pairs of lovers all fight for their great live events, marriage.
Obviously,Charlotte’s and Lidia’s marriages are not so happy. According to the author, there are two types of unhappy marriages: one is completely based on the economic basis, like Charlotte, who gets married with Mr. Colins just for searching for a shelter to spend the rest of her life; the other on exterior and lust, like Lidia,
who gets away with Mr. Wickham for his good-look and satisfying her own vanity. Without true love, these two types of marriage both fail.
And then,we may ask, what's the solid and happy marriage?Lizzie's
and Jane's marriages fully turn out to be that ones:only with true love in a marriage can it be reliable. Although economy is an essential factor and appearance is the first possibility to prompt feelings, love, also we can call it emotion,is the most important basis of a long marriage anyway.
Indeed, love must to be tested by society or secular concept. From the very beginning, there are misunderstandings between Lizzie and Mr. Darcy, Jane and Mr. Bingley. At that time, bravery is needed to be their weapons.
In addition, though love can be an affair of two lovers’,marriage is not only a private problem but also relevant to family’s reputation from time to time.Take Lidia and Mr. Wickham’s elopement for example, most of the time,we inevitably need to think over the influence on others connected with us.Of course, this is not an advocation that we should limit our legal right of pursuing love just because we need to consider others’ feelings, but a suggestion that we are supposed to correct our attitude towards the distinction between love and marriage. We'd better try hard to minimize the impact from our decision.
In a word, what the story wants to tell us the most is that only the marriage mainly based on true love can be considered as a happy one and we ought to pursue the love we want, which is also the biggest revelation I learn from the story.
Classic lines
——Where there is a superiority of mind, pride will always be under regulation.
I believe every disposition has a tendency to some evil.
——A marriage... where either partner cannot love nor respect the other, that cannot be agreeable... to either party.
——I am determined that only the deepest love will induce me into matrimony.
-The End-
