The Little Prince

When I was a fresh-student and hadn’t gotten used to being an English major, I just buried myself in library, thus making me （stumble across）偶然发现 The Little Prince accidentally偶然地. Until now, it has been more than two years. This week, I decided to read it again, just for each reading remains different treasures for us to explore.

The Little Prince is written by a French writer, Anthony de Saint Exupery. It’s a short story belonging to child literature. The main character is a litter prince from an asteroid. He expresses his miss about his flower and his hatred about calculating adults in the name of the character’s love and the character此处应改为author himself. This book tells us a story about the little prince, a spiritual child, escorted 护送by his favorite rose on his planet. But rose’s vanity 浮华虚荣had hurt him ,thus making him bid farewell告别 to his home and beginning space travel. He had visited six planets、 various horizons so that有点用词不当的赶脚 he was sad and felt the adults ridiculous. Also, he met a fox who taught him many truths about life.

What impresses me most is prince and fox’s friendship. He told the prince what was the nature of our lives. And I love three sentences which were spoken by the fox. First is that only if you feel things by your heart, you could see things clearly, which reminds me of my feelings about my father. He is a quiet man who seldom gives me understanding about my ideas, but he is very strict with me. I cannot feel his silent love until I leave my home for university life. What makes me feel his love is just my love, because I know how to feel his love and how he conveys his love to me. Also, I understand what’s the real meaning of the sentence, Separation makes much more miss, which is the second point. Last but not least, I’m touched by the words, Love is responsibility, which reminds me of my love story. When you have loved somebody, you should be responsible for your love and your lover, which is also for yourself.

Between the whole lines, I also cherish the memory of my childhood. Being an adult and growing up are too tired. I yearn for the single and sincere girlhood, just like the author’s wish for child’s nature.

Generally speaking, I get to know many different aspects of understandings when I have a twice reading.

BACK TO INNOCENCE

The Little Prince is a story about love and life. It published in 1943 and written by a French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The extraordinarily imaginative words capture innumerable grown-up’s and children’s hearts as well as the author's wishes that is back to innocence. As the book said ,"the water on the heart is beneficial", and little prince can make people feel warm and fresh.

It tells a story both beautiful and sad : a little prince who lives in a small planet alone has a proud rose who thinks itself is the only flower of that kind. After a quarrel with the rose the little prince decides to travel,trying to find a way to relief loneliness and sorrow. During his journey, he visited several planets, and had conversations with their inhabitants, including a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer, from whom he found, in bewilderment, how unreasonable and meaningless the world of grown-ups is.

The grown-ups have lost their sensibility to nature and life,which makes them unable to see their own ugly features clearly. They began to ignore some tiny happiness, began to lose some sensitive feelings, and began to lose ourselves. Therefore, losing all hopes of the shame, dull and pretended adults’world ,the little prince left us to look for his

flower to find his own life where there is love，responsibility and imagination. Leaving this eternal classic to tell us : Go back to innocence, and just look at the world in children’s eyes.

Go back to innocence，learn to use our hearts to observing everything, not only by the eyes; Go back to innocence，in the attitude of grateful for the whole world; Go back to innocence , learn to use happiness to beat sorrow——in children’s world , there is no impasse，sun will still rising when you open the eyes.
