周围的同学看了《简爱》都说非常感人，带着好奇心，我翻开了这部小说的第一页，便欲罢不能，真是一本值得回味的好书。

我为简·爱在舅妈家被欺负而流泪;为简·爱初到孤儿院糟受人格的屈辱而流泪;为简·爱的生活境遇而流泪;但这些大多是对简·爱的同情。真正让我感动的是为罗彻斯特最终选择了没有社会地位、长相的简·爱。我欣赏罗彻斯特，以他的绅士身份、他的贵族地位、他的渊博知识、他的财富，在当时与从孤儿院出来做家庭教师的简·爱的结合，在很多人看来，那简直是不可思议的事。但为什么这样一个的事实会成为现实呢?他看中的是简·爱的人品与气质，而我自己认为那是简·爱的内在美。这种内在美或许不如外在美那么绚丽，那么迷人，但她值得让人细细品位，并且随着时间的流逝，越发吸引人，越发有魅力。

This is a story about a special and unreserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. The story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit. It seems to me that many readers’ English reading experience starts with Jane Eyer. I am of no exception. As we refer to the movie “Jane Eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally. Jane Eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt，the only relative she had，treated her as badly as a ragtag. Since Jane’s education in Lowwood Orphanage began, she didn’t get what she had been expecting——simply being regarded as a common person, just the same as any other girl around. The suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach Jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.As a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, Jane got a chance to be a tutor in Thornfield Garden. There she made the acquaintance of lovely Adele and that garden’s owner, Rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. Jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: After Jane and Rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact Rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following Rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----Rochester was also a despairing person in need of salvation.
