2月开学考英语作文
Nowadays, tourism has become the biggest industry in the world. Popular though it is, it brings about some problems. The past decade has witnessed tourists’ cutting in line, spitting everywhere and talking loudly in public, which greatly influenced the whole aspect of the city. What’s worse, some people don’t show respect for foreign cultures, thus annoying the locals and ruining their own country’s reputation.
With regard to this phenomenon, I believe the government should place emphasis on tourists’ proper behavior. Strict laws must be enforced against those who damage the precious cultural relics. Individuals are supposed to bear in mind that even the slightest things like observing traffic rules can help lift a country’s international status.
Only with the joint effort of the whole society can we obtain mental well-being as well as material success.
Nowadays, tourism has become the biggest industry in the world. Tourists can admire magnificent landscapes(壮丽的风景), appreciate the superior workmanship(高超工艺) of ancient artists and enjoy various local specialties (地方特色)while traveling.
However, many Chinese tourists behave badly traveling at home and abroad. They speak loudly in public places, carve characters on tourist attractions ,throw rubbish, spit everywhere, and even cross the road when the traffic lights are still red. Such bad behavior has caused great damage to what people think of them and our country. Measures should be taken to stop this. First, tourists should be educated to obey social and public order, and respect local religions and customs. Besides, laws should be made to punish those who behave badly in public places. I hope soon tourists will change their behavior and win respect for themselves and our country.

Cultures——National and International
We see in the picture a young woman wearing the traditional dress and ornaments of one of China minority nationalities. The caption informs us that the subject of the picture is an American girl, and her shy smile indicates that she is undergoing a new experience by trying on the national dress of the people of a different culture. However, in my opinion, the exotic costume suits the young woman.
What can deduce from this picture? First of all, the girl is probably a tourist visiting China, and wants a photograph which shows she has been here. Secondly, she is eager to get to know about the lives and customs of the peoples of her host country. Thirdly, she has chosen the most obvious symbol of this desire for cross-cultural contact by trying on clothes which must seem very strange to her.
Perhaps the divide between national and international cultures is easier to bridge than we think. All we have to do is to be open-minded about the ways people in other countries approach the common problems of food, clothing and housing. My advice to anyone curious about the ways of live of our neighbors on the planet is to take the plunge into other cultures; you are sure to be in for a pleasant surprise.

Cultures——National and International
This is a very interesting picture of a lovely American girl dressed in a traditional Chinese costume and with a sweet smile on her face. She is wearing a pearl necklace, colorful ribbons, earrings, and other decorative things that are characteristic of the clothes of a Chinese minority nationality. As a result of our open-door policy, more and more foreigners are visiting China and becoming interested in our national culture, and this is making it internationally known.
There is no reason to be surprised at this phenomenon. With the rapid development of technology and the global economy, the world is becoming smaller and smaller, and international cultural exchanges are becoming more and more frequent, which is inevitably improving our mutual understanding and friendship with other countries.
As Chinese citizens, we should respect our own national culture while learning useful things from the cultures of other nations, which will enable us to make great progress in many ways. I believe that a happy and bright future is awaiting us if we make every effort to promote cultural development both nationally and internationally.

Cultures——National and International
Nowadays, the question of “national culture or international culture” has become a matter of great concern for the general public in China. Now, let’s take a look at this American girl dressed in a traditional Chinese costume. She looks very beautiful, with a nice smile on her face. It seems that the girl is very fond of the Chinese costume.
Obviously, the picture indicates that a culture of one nation may become international, which is beneficial for all mankind. Since China has opened its doors widely to the outside world, many people from different countries want to visit China. They will come to accept and love Chinese cultures as a whole. In addition, Chinese culture should be shared generously with foreign people, who show great interest in it. Meanwhile, people from other countries are coming to China all the time. In this way, people from various nations in the world will be able to acquire a better understanding of each other and live peacefully together.
My opinion about this cultural phenomenon is that a national culture should become international. This is because the culture of any nation is a kind of precious heritage, and belongs to the whole of mankind.

Cultures——National and International
An American girl, dressed in Chinese traditional costume of a minority group, smiles sweetly and radiantly in the photo above. The ethnic accessories such as jeweled headdress, headed necklace, earrings with tassels and silk attire with ribbons have added oriental glamour to her beautiful appearance. Obviously, the girl who has great curiosity and interest in Chinese culture feels fairly satisfied with her new look.
The picture reflects that, in recent years, a new fashion trend of wearing Chinese traditional clothes has swept world accompanied by a global upsurge of Chinese craze. More importantly, with rapid social development and frequent cultural exchanges, amounting number of foreigners begin to understand and accept splendid Chinese culture and some of them even flood into China to gain a deeper insight into it.
On the one hand, the phenomenon highlights the glamour of our culture, which has been universally accepted as the invaluable treasure of all human beings. On the other hand, it results from our great achievements during the last two decades, the re-unification of Hong Kong and Macao with China, the accession to WTO, Beijing’s successful hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games, the triumphant launch of Shenzhou spaceship and so forth. How can one resist being appealed to such an energetic nation with an increasingly significant status as well as a long and colorful culture?
