High presentation

Good morning, everyone. I’m。。。。, an English teacher from。。。。。. It’s my great pleasure to be here to present my lesson. Today I’m going to talk about study methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design.

Well, first of all, I’ll talk about part 1, analysis of teaching material. For this part, I will talk about from 4 respects, that is, status and function, teaching aims, teaching key and difficult points, and teaching aids.

Now, firstly, status and function. Well, lesson plays a very important role in the English teaching of this unit. The main idea of this unit is about ? By studying this lesson, it is helpful to improve the students’ reading(listening and communicative) ability.

Secondly, teaching aims. It can be divided into 3 respects, including knowledge aims, ability aims and moral aims. Knowledge aims enable students to know and grasp the spelling of some words, some phrases and some important sentences. Ability aims develop students’ ability of listening and speaking and train students’ ability to work in groups. Moral aims can arouse students’ interest in learning English and foster students’ consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.

Thirdly, I’ll say something about key and difficult points. It has more new words, phrases and difficult sentences than some students can understand.

Finally, teaching aids. I’ll use multi-media, including pictures, ppt and tape recorder. These can arouse students’ interest in English. Multi-media can be helpful to increase the class density and improve my teaching results.

Next, I’ll talk about part 2 teaching methods. My teaching method is task-based teaching method. With the help of teacher, let students finish the task. In this chapter, I will use pair work, group work to let students take an active role in all kinds of teaching activities. Let students be the mater of the class teaching, thus, student-centered teaching method is well shown.

Let’s move on to part 3 study methods. In this part, it can teach students how to be a successful learner and teach students how to develop the skills. Meanwhile, teach students how to communicate with others, how to learn new words, such aswe can spell this word according to its pronunciation. More importantly, get students to form good learning habits.

Now, I’ll talk about the most important part, teaching procedures. It consists of 4 steps, lead-in, presentation, practice and homework.

Step1, lead-in. in this lesson, the main content is about??therefore, I will ask students some simple questions or have a free talk with them. For example, ,and show them my PPT and some pictures to let them know something about today’s learning.

Step2, presentation. Firstly, teach students new words, phrases in this lesson, such as Secondly, divide students into 5 groups and give them 15 minutes to do a self-study. At the same time, I will ask students 2-3 questions to let them easily understand today’s lesson. Thirdly, let students do the exercises on page and students can discuss with their members. Also, they can discuss with other groups and teacher can properly give them some useful advice.

Step3, practice. Firstly, order each group to pick up a representative to present their opinions and check out the answers on page. Secondly, give students 3 minutes and ask some students to spell or write down new words and phrases on the blackboard, such as . Finally, I will give students a feedback paper to consolidate today’s lesson.

Step4, homework. Firstly, ask students to review today’s learning after class, and let students do a survey according to this lesson. Secondly, ask students to recite new words, phrases and 5 sentences. Thirdly, enable students to preview the next lesson.

Well, the last part, blackboard design. On the top of the blackboard, I’ll write down the title抽到的unit?哪个部分?”on the left side are new words, phrases. On the right side, I will write down some important and difficult sentences.

一.教材内容分析

本单元的中心话题是西方绘画艺术的历史、中西方各种艺术形势与风格,各时代的著名画家以及他们的作品。挺熟读写等语言知识和语言技能主要围绕“绘画艺术”这一主题设计的。本节课引导学生讨论这些问题,目的在于让他们了解绘画艺术及其各个历史发展时期的不同风格,培养他们对艺术的兴趣。

二.学生分析

本堂课所教学生为高二理科班的学生,认真踏实是他们在课堂学习实践活动中的特点。部分学生经过初中和高一阶段对英语这门语言的学习和掌握,已经为高二阶段的英语学习打下了基础。表现为:大部分学生能够做到课前预习,课堂上能伴随课程的思路,较积极主动的参与课堂活动,如小组讨论,问答练习等;但是仍有少部分学生由于种种原因造成了英语基础薄弱,上课不够积极主动,学习任务完成不充分等问题。对此,在课堂活动中要进行有针对性的帮助。如进行分组讨论时,可让他们与学习基础好的同学一组且要给予更多的鼓励,使他们尽早能提高对学习英语的兴趣。

三.教法分析

学生学习本文时,我设计了一些任务,通过感知,体验,参与合作等方式,使学生的主动地位得到充分体现。如:要求学生阅读文章,回答问题,填写表格等,这一单元以绘画为主题,利用多媒体展示影片相关图片,帮助学生用自己的话概括主要内容,提高课堂教学效率,增强学生学习兴趣.

四.教学程序

Step ⅠLead-in

Show students different kinds of paintings and ask them to guess the type of the paintings.

Give students some famous paintings and let them guess the artist of paintings.

Step ⅡWarming Up

At first, ask the students to match some new words with the correct English meanings. Show them on the screen.At last, check the answers with the whole class.

Step Ⅳ Reading

Task 1 Scanning

Show some questions on the screen.

1. What were the artists interested in from 5th to 15th century AD?

2. How did Masaccio paint his paintings?

Task 2 Skimming

Let the students read the passage again and get the main idea of it. Then complete the following chart on their own. And check the answers with the whole class.

Show the chart with blanks on the screen. A few minutes later, check the answers.

Step Ⅴ Comprehending

Let the students read the passage again and tell whether the statements True or False according to the text.

课堂学生参与性不高,应注意问题设计的层次,照顾到不同学习程度的学生,尽量做到让更多学生参与到课堂活动中。
