If I enter a famous university only for its fame or reputation without considering my major, I will not make great achievements in my academic study because all I have to learn is not what I really want to learn. So I think to select a major that you are interested in is more important than to select school brand. Secondly, a good major means that what I will learn is helpful to my future development. Therefore, it will arouse my interest to study more. And I will try my best to concentrate my mind on my study.

Version One:
We went through a grown-up ceremony recently. Every one of us took an “adult oath”, which means that we should assume more responsibility.
First, we should be responsible for ourselves. We are grown-ups instead of children. What we say and what we do is really important. It is wise for us to think before we leap. Whatever we do, we should be brave enough to take the responsibility.
Besides, we should be responsible for our families. We are never the boss of the backyard to some extent, but we members of our families. Since we love our parents, we should think more often of our families.
Last but not least is that we should be responsible for our society. Now, we have been citizens. What we do represents our motherland. Now that we take pride in our motherland, we?d better not make her disappointed.

Is It the Only Way Out to Go to College?
(1)We had a discussion about whether it is the only way out for senior students to go to college. Views vary from person to person. The majority of us consider it very necessary to go to college. They think it can widen their knowledge and improve their qualities. Only in this way can they find better jobs after graduation. Very few students, that is about ten percent of the students think it no use going to university, because the tuition is too high for their family to afford. What?s more, it?s rather hard for college graduates to seek satisfactory jobs. Thirty percent of the students, however, believe “All roads lead to Rome.” Therefore, it doesn?t make any difference whether they go to college or not.
In my opinion, we can receive a better education at college so that we can serve our motherland.
(2)When it comes to deciding whether to attend a university or not, views vary from person to person. Recently the result of a discussion has indicated that the majority --- about 60 percent of people think that students should go to university for further study. They think only in this way can students widen their horizons. On the other hand, 10 percent of people consider there is no need to attend a university, for the tuition is too high for their family to afford. In addition, 30 percent of people agree either is ok.
It is obvious that the majority prefer to attend a university, and in my opinion, it is a sensible choice. Above all, our horizons are sure to be broadened and excellent facilities are available. Students can make full use of the school equipment to do research into what they are interested in. Secondly, students have many chances to improve their qualities. The university is the place where excellent professors and students gather, so every college student can easily have a lesson from an outstanding professor and the friends he makes are also excellent in study. It is easier for students in college to effectively learn than those in other places. Last but not least, graduates have access to more and more decent jobs. Though some students believe that all roads lead to Rome, it is undeniable that a university degree helps students find suitable jobs. A university offers many opportunities to students to attend interviews and even introduces excellent ones to some international corporations.
As is stated above, attending a university is really a wiser choice in terms of knowledge extension, quality improvement and the increased likelihood of obtaining good jobs.
What Can I Do for the 2010 World Expo?
It has been known to all that Shanghai has been chosen as the place of the 2020 World Expo. To us senior high school students, it?s a good chance to show our ability to the world. So, can we sit silently and waste this chance? Of course not. We should begin to prepare ourselves for the historic event by doing small things.
I can study hard. It?s the most important thing of all, I think. It is said“Study until you are old.”We can easily imagine how necessary it is to a teenager. Only studying can help us realize 10
