They say that human can be easily defeated but nature not, which we can learn a lot from the historical incidents of Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler, it is a coincidence that they had prepared for the resistance of Russian people but not the row, cold, bleak winter.

In the spring of 1812, Napoleon launched his grand army which was aimed at a quick victory against Russia. Russia refuses to fight face to face, but retreated to east side and burnt down the corps and homes. Again, during the world war two, Hitler invaded Russia without warning, but lightning truce seems useless, Russian still retreat to remote area and left an empty victory to him. In November 1942, Russia take a counterattack, with the help of cold winter, all Hitler’s advanced device are damaged, red army won back all cities ever lost, they won the war.

When we enter the information age, the significance of computer technology become the core part, and the automobile industry are looking for the combination of Microsoft and car, which will be the smart car.

There are many car accidence happened around globe. Firstly the drunken drive should blame for that most, and other carelessness, but smart car can cure it via sensor. Secondly the small radars in the car can ensure your safety.

A computer in the dashboard will monitor your facial expression to keep you from sleepy driving. Thirdly the GPS will lead your direction and deliver first-hand information of the road which will largely reduce the traffic jam. Fourthly the MIT designed system will bunch a group car together, traveling unison and controlled by computer.

3/ get the job you want

There are four major qualities suggested by Harvey which will help you stand out from the crowds. The first one is preparing to win. Selected from the successful examples of Michael Jordan who is the first on but the last one off the basketball court, the author’s own experience also show that today’s graduates will face the change of job for ten times, but if you are well prepared then the stress will come to someone are half-prepared.

Second, never stop learning. The writer use a story about a 90-years-old people playing tennis in the background, which he meant to overcome his weak point. Keep learning something made you more competitive.

Third, believe in yourself, even when no one else does. The four-minutes miles seem human’s limitation of our physical body, but a miracle after another come out to break the record, even a disabled can finish Marathon.

Fourth, find a way to make a difference. The author’s experience in a taxi changed his view that once we change our angle, there are soon big differences we can make in the near future.

5/a friend in need

The author told us a story about his own experience and he had learned some thing from it, that the more you get in touch with someone the more deceptive part you will find by yourself. Edward is an old man, really kind and peace at least from his appearance and dress, he is good at playing the bridge, and they play together. He is quiet, and has a dry humor, he is very popular in the club and everyone speak highly of his character, his gentle and soft voice will give you the feeling that nothing can make him angry. But Edward once mentioned that a man named Turner come to his company for asking a position. Edward promised that if he can swim around a beacon and land at a creek, he will get a job. Turner died another day morning, because he is not in good condition but have no choice. At last, Edward even said that there was no empty position for Turner at all.

6/old father time become a terror

Technology instead of liberating us from work but bringing more to our life and also enslaved us. We have car to save time, but traffic jam will waste more. Firstly, technology makes us to more things rather than saving more time, meanwhile, technology spread our work into our leisure time and to take the burden. Then the internet points a way of information explosion. News, facts, is flooded, we need learn more to keep the pace of this world. Another reason is the rising prosperity. we are overstressed, and our working time has decreased recent year, but the gains are unevenly distributed. Also, a gender issue existed; women took more for working time. People begin to complain the time they wasted, they want to buy time, steal time, liberate time. It is not more time we need, it’s less desires.
