Cultural differences between china and western countries from the perspective of etiquette
Introduction: china has been a country of etiquette since ancient time. And china always attaches importance to etiquette education. In interaction with western countries or other countries, our country always indicates a big country of etiquette, so a lots of countries in the world calls china as the Country of Rites. With the development of technology and economy, china has more opportunities to communicate with western countries, and western countries have been important partners of economy, culture, politic and so on. So it is very important for our country to treat western countries by using polite means.
Etiquette of a country is a part of its culture; Chinese etiquette has been an important part of Chinese civilization culture. Different countries have different cultures, so there are also different kinds of etiquettes in different countries. China and western countries have different etiquettes, so it is very easy for us to see cultural differences between china and western
countries from the perspective of etiquette.
Problem statement: there are many cultural differences, so there are also many etiquette differences. It is very difficult for us to know too much etiquette. Western countries etiquette is different from us, so it is also very difficult for us to much etiquette.
Significance: etiquette plays an important role in international communication. We can know more etiquette when we study western countries’ etiquette, thus we can know more cultural differences between our country and western countries. In this way, it has many advantages for us to communicate with western countries. In addition, it is good for china to build a more civilized, more harmonious and prosperous society. Finally, it is also good for us to learn western culture.
Methology: documentary collection. I search the related documentations and articles from the library and the internet. Documentations and articles analysis, I use some ideas and contents to my paper.
