My dream
Ever since middle, I have dreamed about traveling around the world by myself when I graduate from university. I hope to go to some big cities which are famous for their history or culture such as Paris, London, Rome and so on. I’m also going to use as many kinds of transports as possible. I’ll travel by ship over seas and oceans, by bus in cities, by bike in plains and on foot in mountains. But before all these, I should have a good command of English because it’s the language which is used most widely. And I’m going to learn some other foreign languages, too. They may be useful sometime on my trip.
I like traveling. The reasons are as follows. Firstly, I can get more knowledge by traveling than in class. Secondly, I’m able to enjoy the beautiful sceneries and cultures. Thirdly, I can relax myself and challenge myself. So I’ll try my best to make the dream come true.

A trip to Xianhua Mountain
I’m a girl who is fond of traveling. I have been to many places of interest before. Now , I’m planning to take a trip to Xianhua Mountain with my best friend. She has a strange nickname “Monkey”. It’s the second time that we have gone to the Xianhua Mountain.
Monkey is crazy about cycling, so am I. Therefore, we’ll cycle there. But it’s not the only reason why we decide to cycle there. The other reasons are as follows. Firstly, cycling is good for our health. Secondly, cycling can cause less air pollution and costs little. Thirdly, we can enjoy the beautiful sceneries along the road.
Because of the reasons above, we have decided to cycle there. I hope that we’ll have a great time. (高一 1 班 郑尖愉 )
One of my Dreams
So far I’ve been to many different cities, so I have seen many places of interest. But I’ve never been to Gulangyu. So visiting Gulangyu has become my dream. Gulangyu is an island in Xiamen city. It’s called a fairyland in the world. It’s like a garden on the water. The shade of the trees covers nearly the whole island. Because the place is very quiet so that music played by the violin or the piano can be heard here and there. It is the famous “Home of Music”.
The Sunshine Rock is the highest place on the island. So it has become the symbol of Gulangyu. At the foot of Sunshine Rock is Shuzhang Garden with its picturesque scenery. The Forty-four Bridge spans over the water is like a white dragon.
Because of these, I dream about traveling to Gulangyu. ( 高一 1 班 洪蕾 )
My Dream
All of us have our own dreams, of course including me. I often dream about traveling around the world. There are many kinds of transports that I can choose. Friends advise me to take a plane, because it is fast and comfortable. But I think that it is expensive and dangerous. So I enjoy traveling by train. It is safe and cheap. And I can also see the beautiful sceneries on the way.
Beijing is a famous city that I want to visit most. The reasons are as follows. Firstly, Beijing is the capital of China and I haven’t been to Beijing. Secondly, there are many places of interest, such as the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, Wangfujing Street and so on. They are all popular places. Thirdly, the food in Beijing is delicious. I am crazy about Beijing Roast Duck. I have been dreaming of it for several years.
Traveling around the world is my dream. I hope that my dream will come true.

When I was very young, I loved beautiful birds. The things I loved most were the wings. With wings, you can fly to every to everywhere you like.
I like to stand on soft green grass, let breeze touch my face gently and have my hair flying, dancing quietly with the wind. I love that feeling.
I can feel the same feeling as Rose when she was standing on the ship Titanic pretending to fly.
I have the dream of flying.
I dream I can fly up in the blue sky, where all my dreams come from. I dream of flying to where all my dreams come from.
I want to have a rest on the clouds. They are soft and cool. Like gas. Like water. Like ice. They’re a mixture. But they are pure in my heart.
I want to have a race with the wind to see who is the better flyer. Sometimes it’s cool. Sometimes it’s warm. Sometime it’s cool. It often plays around me.
I want to fly in the golden sunshine. It makes me the most beautiful colour.
I want to make friends with all kinds of birds. I want to play with them. They teach me many many things that I haven’t known before.

Everyone may have his own dream. Someone may want to be rich, someone may want to be beautiful, and someone may want to have power. But I’m different from them. My dream is special. I want to have a pair of wings. Because I want to fly in the sky，I like the feeling of freedom.
If I have a pair of wings，I’m sure it will be very wonderful. I can fly below the blue sky with the birds. I can enjoy the music of birds’. I can fly across the cloud and the small wind will blow past my face. The feeling must be the same as that my mother caresses me.
I can fly over the sea, below the rainbow, through the forest I can see all the wonderful view. But I know that it will never be uteri have another instead. I want to have a fly of my own. The plane must be very small and light. It has to carry only one person. It can fly by wind or sunshine. It can fly for a very long time. And the important thing is that it must be very save.
I’m sure I can have this plane some day. And I can have fly to everywhere I want.
Every night I dream of making a lot of money. In order to live a rich life, I want to be a businessman. Although it is really true to say money can’t buy everything. As a rule, money plays an important role in our everyday life. We are in great need of money.
Nowadays, with the world’s competition, plan is a hot topic that many people are concerned about. In my opinion, making a good plan is a key part in making money. In a word, plans make an important part in our dreams.
But how can our dream come true?
Firstly, I think I should study hard, because knowledge is power. It is a tool that we are in great need to make business with others. Secondly, experience is important. If we do a thing for the first time, we may not do it well even though we spare no effort to do it. But practice makes perfect. If you practice doing one thing as often as possible, then you can regard it as a piece of cake. So you can easily get it.
I’ll spare my weekends learning more things according to my mother’s direction.
Thirdly, I should get along well with others. A friend in need is a friend indeed. If I have difficulty in business in the future, maybe my friends can give me a hand.
How wonderful the plan is! Give it up for myself. I’ll be a successful businessman in the future.

I have been dreaming about one thing since childhood. The thing is that I couldn’t get closer to the nature listening to the birds and water. It is that I want to have a picnic.
Maybe the dream is not great. But in fact, it has never come true. But anyway, it’s my dream, no matter it’s big or small.
My dream almost came true one time. We planned very carefully. We thought over the route, the fare, the time…except the weather. Then it happened to rain cats and dogs on that day. And we had to give up our planning. What a pity!
I finally got a chance again after waiting for so long. I feel so excited because my dream will come true soon. I have been preparing for it since weeks ago.
I expect to go to countryside to have a picnic. My friends and I will choose bikes as transport. We will take potatoes, meat and drinks. As it’s an eco-friendly society, we will not forget the plastic bags as well.
Then we are going on Sunday, a beautiful day. We will take cameras to take photos of the scenery on the way. We will wear T-shirts to feel the cool water by the river. It will be a nice day in my memory.
My dream, the beautiful will come true! I can’t wait to go out to have a face to face conversation with nature.

My Dream
I am fond of taking a bike trip around France. I will choose my friend to be my partner if I have the chance. Firstly, it is cheap. Secondly, cycling does good to our health. Finally, it is environmentally friendly. I dream about going there so much that I try my best to learn English in order to communicate with the foreigners there.
Friends advice me to take a compass and a raincoat so that I will know the directions and hide away from the rain. The reason why I should take money is that I have got to eat and drink. As for me, an atlas will also useful.
I hope my dream will come true one day.

A Dream about Water
Someone has said that woman is made of water. I am a girl so I love water so much. I feel like a fish sometimes. Since I saw a movie about Tibet in the middle school, I have a dream of traveling there. The reason is that there is a beautiful lake where the water is bright and blue. The Potala Palace is great as well.
Maybe I’ll go with my best friend. We can enjoy the beautiful scenery together such as the blue sky, the bright stars, the quiet and dark night… Oh, I can’t wait.
I heard that the lake is between mountains, so I’ll take a train to Tibet first. Then I guess I’ll cycle there. I think it will be easier. What to take with me is an important problem. The air is hard to breathe; therefore, I should buy some pills. I think the temperature there is low, so I must take enough clothes. Am I right? Money is the most important. I’ll buy some food in Tibet before I go to the great lake. I like romance. I’ll stay there for one night probably so I must take a tent and a flashlight.
Here is my romantic dream. How I wish I could go there at once!

My Dream Journey
Ever since middle school, I have been dreaming about traveling with my family. That is because we all like fresh air and beautiful sceneries. We are fond of watching beautiful things. So I want to take a walk trip from the country to the top of Mount Xianhua with my family.
At first, my friends advise me to take a bike trip because it is environmentally friendly and cheap. But I want to walk there. The reason why I should go hiking is that I want to improve my power and make my experience more special and interesting.
Firstly, I should prepare something to drink and eat. Secondly, I should take a camera with which I can take photos of beautiful sceneries. Finally, I should take some clothes and other useful things. So we can enjoy the trip happily.

My Dream of Traveling to the Forests
I’m fond of traveling very much. And I have dreamed about going hiking with my good friends. I’d like to go to the beautiful forests. In my opinion, it is very interesting and exciting to go hiking, because I’m so crazy about everything to do with nature. Everything in the forests can keep me spellbound.
If I go to the forests with my friends, I’ll not feel lonely. And I like going there on foot because we can see the cute flowers and the big trees clearly. I can stand closer to them. So I will be able to enjoy the beautiful sceneries better. It can also keep us fit and it is environmentally friendly as well.
I’ll take some raincoats, a compass and some food with me. The reason why I take raincoats is that if it rains we can use them to keep dry. If we take a compass, we’ll not be afraid of getting lost in the forests. And we must eat food when we feel hungry.
I think the trip will be very interesting. I can’t wait to go on a trip to the forests. I really hope the dream will come true soon.
My Dream of Traveling
Like many classmates, I like traveling. I want to travel in many countries, especially the USA, the most developed country in the world. There are many places that I have to go when I visit the great country, such as Hawaii, New York, Hollywood and the Colorado Valley. All of these places please me.
I have never traveled by plane or by ship, so I want to go there by plane and come back by ship. Taking a plane is fast enough and you can see the scenery through the windows. I guess that looking down from the plane must be cool. Traveling by ship may be the safest and you can enjoy the sea a lot.
Since America is an English-speaking country, I must learn more English and improve my spoken English. I should also take some money, some clothes, a mobile phone and one of my friends. A friend may be the most important, I guess. He/she may help me with many things and I won’t be lonely. We can also discuss something about our traveling plan.
America is famous for its fast food. In my opinion it is delicious but not healthy. It makes people fat and weak. So I must care about food. I think I should have some Chinese food. I plan to visit the USA in spring or autumn because the weather a that time is very nice.
How I wish I could be an adult and rich so I could fly to American tomorrow.

My Dream of Traveling
When I was a little girl, I dreamt of visiting Hainan Island. I hear it is a beautiful city with a flower market. The weather there is warm all year round. The wind is very cool and there is beautiful sunshine every day. The sun in summer is quite bright while in autumn it is often windy and it is not cold in winter.
I dream of visiting Hainan Island. I’ll go there by train with my parents. Traveling with my parents, I won’t be lonely. Traveling by train is cheaper and more enjoyable. I can enjoy the scenery through the windows on the train. I will breathe fresh air and relax my self.
Before I start traveling, I must prepare for it carefully. First, I must have some information about Hainan island. Second, I should take some medicine because it is necessary when I have an injury or when I am ill. Third, I must be careful and try to avoid accidents. Finally, I think I should have a flashlight, because it’s useful when I am walking at night. Besides, I won’t take much clothing since it is not cold there.
Hainan Island is famous for “The Edge of the Sea and the Sky”. It attracts a large number of tourists every year.
Traveling is a very good activity, because it can help you forget your tiredness and troubles and build up your body. I like Hainan Island. I think my trip will be wonderful.
I want to be a teacher when I listen to my teacher carefully. I think I can be a teacher when I grow up. I can help many students learn things well. I can play with my students, too. So we are good friends. I want to be a doctor when I see many doctors save their patients. To be a doctor is really great. I think I can be a doctor when I grow up. Then I can help many people out of danger. I will be the happiest girl in the world. I want to be a reporter when I watch TV every evening. We can get lots of important information from them. They make the world smaller and also make us happy. I would like to be a reporter when I grow up. And I can learn a lot about China and the other countries around the world. My Dream
Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams,too. When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a scientist like Hua Luogen in future.
However, I knew very well that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts. So I studied hard in the middle school and college in order to attain my goal.
After graduating from college, I found a job as a teacher.Although I was very busy with teaching, I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to get more knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time. Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy.The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.
