General Introduction

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial

Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept

distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Dear friends , do you know what is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world ? money ? You may lose everything you have if you don’t use money careful enough . Youth ? In one’s long life youth is like a flash in the pan and no one in the world has the secret to keep his youth forever .Beautiful look ? There is no denying that I grew up with my grandparents together when I was young. They teach me how to speak, how to walk and how to eat. I can't describe my love to them with poor language. When tomorrow turns in today or yesterday , and someday that no more important in your memory ,we suddenly realize that we pushed by train .This is not train in still in which you may feel forward when another train goes by .It is the truth that we’ve all grown up .And we become different. Iam a third-year students have just graduated. My hometown in Guangdong, is a

family of four, my father and mother engaged in garment business, the younger

brother is also a university student. I am optimistic personality, is a person who likes to communicate with others. I like sports, especially basketball and tennis. Many of my friends are very fond of sports people. Any time after school, I will some friends on my classmates to physical exercise. Movement which is very real pleasure. I like that feeling. Future Career, Major and University Life

With respect to my future, I want to be a mechanical engineer. I have a very great passion for mechanical engineering that has developed since childhood .I have grown interest in this area of engineering after a long intervention with my cousin who did his job in mechanical engineering presently . Diversity is a major issue that arises when mechanical engineering is considered .I have learnt from my cousin that being a mechanical engineer qualifies you to work in quite many different areas .This fact really builds up my interest in this area since I will be able to exercise my diverse dimensions of viewing and doing things, which is strength in. I have been dreaming of careers whereby I can be able to experience my freedom through exercising and expressing my views and innovations .Mechanical engineers are constantly being asked to make decisions. The size, shape, and material of every part of every mechanical product created must be decided by a mechanical engineer. They also have to determine the best and most efficient ways to manufacture the products. As to me, if I want to be a mechanical engineer, I have to know more about mechanical.
