A week ago, in a deep midnight, my best friend Stella gave me a call. She sobbed for a long time, and finally she questioned: where is my future? What am I going to be 10 years later? At that moment, it took me everything not to say that “everything will be ok.” Because I knew what Stella need was not that. She needs an answer that can change her life. So later, I began to search the answer from the Internet, books and people around.

Up to now, I’ve found some answers.

The first answer is from a college girl in Fujian province. In her eyes, future equals past. She committed suicide on January 3rd, just 3 days ago. A week before her death, her boyfriend broke up with her, and she thought that her future was broken, too. So she jumped from the 8-story dormitory building and ended up her life. Her answer to me is too heavy to accept. If we believe that future is past and indulge in the memory of yesterday’s sound and fury, how could we have the power and capacity to fight for tomorrow?

Hello everyone. It is my great honor to stand here and give you a speech . My topic today is future is now.

When it comes to future, we always have a lot to say. Whether for ourselves or the country, we need to live up to the expectation and be responsible for the future of our own.

The future holds limitless promise and challenges, to have a glorious future, we must improve ourselves and prepare for it now.

A glorious future means a firm dream. Without dreams, we have no future. But it would be senseless if you only have the ideal instead of action because the future only exists in your imagination and you will accomplish nothing. Turning dreams into reality will be far more important.

A glorious future means dealing with tough times confidently and never give up. Chelsea Fearce, for whom getting a shower, food and clean clothes was an everyday struggle, held a 4.466 GPA and scored 1900 on her SATs. She said, when facing difficulties, just tell yourself to keep working. Because you have been made stronger and the future will not be like this anymore .

Looking back in history, during World War Ⅱ, Churchill who led the British people resolved to expect “blood, toil, tears and sweat”. They won the victory then.

How to say future?Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth.

If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.

When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here.

My Future Career Plan

I’m very glad to make a speech here. My topic is about my future career plan. I want to become a manager of a five stars’ hotel in the future. Do you know the reasons? Now I will tell you. Firstly, since I’m major in tourist and hotel management，I want to do something that is related with my major. Secondly, working in hotels can improve my moral characters, because as a waitress, I need to be polite and kind to treat guests. So I can gain the quality of politeness and kindness gradually.
