Why do some animals die out?

In the past two hundred years people have caused many kinds of animals to die out--to become extinct. People keep building houses and factories in fields and woods. Other animals, such as the Florida Key deer, may soon die out because they are losing their homes. Hunters have caused some animals to become extinct, too. Today they are fast killing off hawks and wolves. Pollution is killing many animals today, too. As rivers become polluted, fish are poisoned. Many die. But some, such as the bald eagle and the brown pelican, have become rare and may die out.

高三上学期英语教学工作总结

本学期以来,本人认真研究学生,关注学生,研究课标,梳理知识结构,有计划地落实复习计划,顺利地完成了教育教学任务。现将本学期教学工作总结如下:

一、进行了英语学情分析。

本学期本人继续担任高三年级普通班高三(2)(3)班的英语课,本班学生自高一以来学生基础就很差,在基础知识上,本人进行‘亡羊补牢’但为时已晚矣,在一、二年级时期末考试有个把及格的,所以一直以来,本人所带的班中期末考试很难见到有学生上90分,大多学生的考分都是在20分以上至60分以下,少部分学生在85分段以下至60分。几乎所有学生都感到英语特别难学,主要原因是他们几乎记不了最简单的单词,语法也没基础,所以对英语学习特别头疼。老师讲课听不懂,所以厌学情绪严重,学习态度上也不正,上课睡觉、搞小动作、玩手机游戏等现象不时出现,英语成绩难以提高。所以开学之初本人既对本班学情进行了认真细致的分析。在本学期日常教学中认真落实因材施教和因人施教的的措施。本学期各方面情况得以改观。

二、把教学计划落到实处。

本年度教学工作重心即在进行基础知识的复习上巩固和加深对基础知识的理解和掌握,提升期解决问题的能力,所以教学工作安排上把重心放在了对课本知识的复习上。三轮复习中,首轮复习内容是高三英语课本,高一年级课本20个单元,高二年级课本20个单元。对这些内容的复习主要是:高考常用单词、短语,主要句型,基础语法等。平时复习中把高中英语复习语法项目中的13个专题适当融合进去。通过练习和讲解,增强学生对语法的理解和对英语用法的复习巩固。

三、大量练习促进学生对基础知识的巩固和能力的提高。

课本复习是学生能力提高的关键。从开学之初即对课本知识点认真归纳和总结,通过练习的形式进行学习反馈。新课标学案《高三总复习》的运用是今年教学工作的一大幸事。新课标学案《高三总复习》成了学生的良师,也成了我英语教学中的益友。无论是单元复习还是高中英语知识点专题训练都是题目中的精品。我立足于新课标学案《高三总复习》,认真把握好教学工作中的练习环节。

转眼,一学期的教学工作即将结束了,回顾这学期英语小组的活动情况,虽取得了一定的成绩,也有一些不足之处。为了下学年能更好的开展兴趣小组,特将本学期来的活动情况总结如下,以便以后能做到取长补短,有所提高。

一、培养了学生的对英语的兴趣

参加兴趣小组的同学,有一部学生分本身就对英语充满了兴趣,但是也有一部分学生是在父母的要求下参加英语兴趣小组的。因此,培养学生对英语的兴趣是组织英语兴趣小组的首要任务。在本学期的英语兴趣活动中,我大胆使用课外教材,以新的切入点进行英语教育,并运用学生喜欢的方式进行授课,例如用英语演情景剧、唱英文歌、英语小游戏等等。使学生感觉到学习英语是一件好玩又有趣的事,从而对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣。

二、拓展学生的英语知识面

学生对英语的了解主要是通过校本教材的知识传授,但随着英语在中国的普及,很多时候对我们生活起实际作用的英语知识书本上并不一定有,所以在兴趣活动中拓展学生的英语知识也是重要的内容之一。我通过多种途径获取各种英语资料来丰富学生的知识,例如读英语小故事,看英语动画片等,让学生多接受生活中常用的英语,让学生更好的理解英语的实用性!

三、增加学生口语锻炼的机会

说道底英语还是一门语言课,因此能说会说才是真正的重点,因此我将课堂中的大部分时间用在与学生进行口语交际上。主要通过学生跟读、师生对话、学生相互情景对话的方式增加学生的口语锻炼,纠正学生的发音,使学生真正领悟英语的精髓,而不是单纯的学“哑巴英语”。

四、丰富了学生的第二课堂

从素质的角度丰富了学生的课余生活,他们的生活不在仅限于课堂上,让

他们意识到学习的乐趣,更有兴趣学习了。

当然,我的工作还存在不足:

1、教学内容丰富度不够,缺少对英美文化与中国文化的差异教学。缺少与学生的交流,不能很好的把握学生对学习内容的需求。

2、教学方法过于单调,主要采用TPR(全身反应教学法)。虽然能取得较好的教学效果,但这种教学方法较耗费体力。因此,在教学中可多结合其他教学法,亦动亦静,起伏有度。
