　　Is Good Appearance More Important than Capability?

　　Old people often tell the young, “Don’t judge a person by his appearance”, meaning capability is more important than appearance.

　　However, nowadays, with more interviewers putting emphasis on looks and the appearance of the applicants, a lot of people come to the conclusion that appearance is more important than capability.

　　As for me, I can’t agree with this argument.

　　Good appearance is pleasant, but capability is more important, because it demonstrates one’s self-cultivation and practical values.

　　It shows the efforts and the glory of acquiring something through one’s hard work whereas good looks bespeak no struggle of the individual.

　　Besides, maybe sometimes a beautiful face can help a girl acquire a good position, but in the long run it is her talent not her look that really works in her career development.

　　Therefore, those without good appearance needn’t feel depressed because one’s success depends on his capability; those with good appearance have to work hard since good appearance cannot bring a person final success.

　　It was fine on march 12 ， XX .

　　I got up early that day .

　　All the students in our school went to the hill to plant trees .

　　We all worked so hard that we could finish our tasks ahead of tim e .

　　I went hiking to a mountain with my friends last summer.

　　the internet is a wonderful source from which we can retrieve valuable information. moreover, it facilitates our communication with people far away from us at a cost substantially less than that of traditional means of communication. also, it can be an important building block to children's learning because vast amount of information is only clicks away. there is evidence suggesting that computer use is linked to slightly better academic performance.

　　however, we have sufficient evidence indicating that the internet can be a harmful influence on people. for example, its addictive power has increased children and youngsters' time spent in front of the computer screens at the expense of other healthier physical activities, thus increasing their chance of getting overweight and short-sighted. in addition, children have limited ability of telling right from wrong and therefore are subject to the potential contaminating influence of the harmful materials on the internet.

　　in short, the negative influence of the internet should be minimized by diverting people, especially young people's, interest to other areas of life. like every other thing, internet is like a coin that has two sides. we must realize its harmful potentials while making use of it to achieve a better and more meaningful life.

　　however, we shouldn't tolerate these cyber criminals any more. and it's high time for us to take all the effective steps to battle the cyber crooks. first we should reinforce the cyber laws to protect the web, the powerful engine of economy. besides,we should use high techniques to improve intrusion detection, encrypfion and computer security. finally, we should train more talented people to build up more firewalls so as to make the net immune to all kinds of viruses and unalienable to all kinds of cyber criminals.
