评论：昆明最传统的英语角了，这里80％都是学生，老外大约7％左右。就是三五个人为一组，站聊。这里气氛还不错，只是话题大多是WHQuestions。一个老外通常十几个中国人围着。我去过三次，也认识了一些朋友，但因为大多是学生，不是我喜欢的话题。
2.翠湖边玉壶春茶馆

评论：几个人一张桌子，感觉还可以，学生少，70％的都是工作的朋友在这里练习口语。有时候可以遇到很好的朋友。
3.北辰会所
地址：北辰小区北辰会所一楼
时间：星期二：19：00～21：00
费用：1元/人
评论：这里是我比较喜欢的地方，是一对美国夫妇创立的。一个老外带一桌中国人，有Topic，通常是一篇文章。大家先学习，然后讨论。有时候会有很多人，所以请尽量早一些去。目前为止我去过三次。主题大多是圣经故事，推荐北市区的朋友去。
4.创库诺地卡
地址：西坝路白药厂旁，创库诺地卡
时间：星期一：19：30～23：00
费用：5元/人
评论：这里的环境比较laid-back，外国人很多，讨论的话题也比较深一些，建议有一定英语水平的朋友去参加，诺地卡也经常搞一些艺术和音乐交流。还是很不错地。

评论：尽是学生，水平不高，但有热情。

嗨，给大家推荐一个比较好的英语角，是我在昆明去过最好的。非常有特色，有固定的老师带领。每次都有好多外国朋友参与，有不同国家的，的确是锻炼英语的好地方。并且负责老师很有责任心，每次都有预备不同的英语歌曲，英语游戏，英语讨论话题等不同的内容。活动内容真的很丰富，很有组织性。 很容易让参与者进入状太中。
完全免费。

One day, a teacher took his pupils to a chicken farm to pay a visit. When they came near the incubator, chick just got out of its egg shell.
"It's wonderful to see a little thing come out from the egg shell, isn't it？" the teacher said.
"Yes, sir." said one of the boys, " but it would be more wonderful if we knew how a chick gets in to its eggs hell beforehand."

4 The Dog and the Shadow
It happened that a Dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now, on his way home he had to cross a plank lying across a running brook. As he crossed, he looked down and saw his own
shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was another dog with another piece of meat, he made up his mind to have that also. So he made a snap at the shadow in the water, but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out, dropped into the water and was never seen more.
Implied meaning: Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow.
